Just remember the recent presentations, webenars and broker notes ... there is a huge supply deficit - the squeeze is artificial and cannot last. We all had a real go at Meyer when Vanadium pricing was over $100 and he still had circa $60 in his model dropping to $45 ... perhaps SPA had a better handle on the longer term than we really considered

Short answer is yes !

If the Vametco operational issues over the past year have demonstrated anything, it is that there is considerable vulnerability to be see from outside. Having multiple production sites can only be a good thing. As for being dependent on Mokopane, it is not. Same distance from Brits and Vametco reserves. Not ideal, but could be supplied by those.

Then there is the chemical processing end giving other options.

Mokopane is more a priority for Ramaphosa who desperately wants a very high growth mining operation in SA, generating SA jobs and providing foreign exchange strengthening as well.

I must have missed the nuance, I thought it was complete by 31 July (extendible).

This time next year, the sales alone will exceed our MCAP and that does not include ramping up BE operations or anything else.

when did BBN say he heard whispers ? ... andbin what 2 years we will be taken over by the chinese for pretty much current sp .... please.... in 2 years with increased production and BE alone we might well have a profit equal to the current MCAP.... people nead to learn to add up...... and finally... there is a fairly diverse spread of fund and LTH ... a TO would require a pretty decent offer.... they could just start buying on the open market... now that would spoil the furries fun

Just amazing the SP is back where it was 8 months ago, before the Solitz buyout, before the Eskom trials, Before the Lemur updates, before the ore-reserve updates, before the Vanchem heads of agreement (purchase in progress).

oh my Expert .. that is a good one. The average downturn in the last 100 years has been less than 2 years and the recovery to prior level 3(ish) years after that. In fact if you randomly pick 20 shares across the stock market then the is (statistically) a better than 98% probability you will have a higher value in 15 years - picking a bunch of decent (dull) holdings and reinvesting over 10-15 years beats the market ... all just data and sums.

Now in AIM ... well .. a 50% chance of being higher in 5 years does seem a very odd reason to invest in high risk volatile places

So a 50/50 bet that a stock will be higher in 5 years is just average run of the course - no risk at all.... if that is your aspiration, why invest 3.4million shares worth in AIM ?

I would be interested in you probability assessment % for say 100p or 200p in 5 years and how you arrive at it - always happy to learn

how's the short going @Expert ? ... you seriously suggesting the SP 'might' be over 40p in 5 years ?

it might work for a few days until the shorters came back ..... short term volitility is not a problem (unless you area trader)... lots of capital investment needed for longer term real profits

Just a couple of notes of caution. Firstly, the first year of ownership Vanchem production Bushveld gets half (effectively) according to the proposal, and secondly, ownership should kick in by the end of July (so 5 months of the year) as I understand it.

Probably wrong but if Vanchem is circa 960MTV, last 5 months (assuming its all linear), is 400 MTV and Bushveld effectively gets the revenue for half, so 200MTV.

I may have this wrong, but just use a little caution peepz ... numbers all positive and impressed the remedial actions in Feb have had such a big effect.
