This has been occurring for some many weeks - not long after Lewis announcement on the motor thing smashed the share price. Many times the price has jumped up maybe 20 or 30 only to retrace nearly back. So the overall share price has gradually increased over the weeks a few P at a time. It has been a good opportunity to trade (did mention this just below on a post). I think MaryB has been enjoying the opportunity as well.

If history repeats then it may pop down a bit more and then go up beautifully again. (unless there is something in the woodwork about to pop out news wise which only a few people already know about).

Had similar thing yesterday for 50000, did get them in the end but only after the trade request was rejected three times.

Had to re-new my 30 day sell limit on these, didn't know what to put this time, was thinking of 9p but that's probably a bit ambitious.

I tried that at 8.6 a while ago, hasn't worked for me. Have pretty much given up on them, not selling up but wouldn't be surprised to lose the lot if that's how it ends up. If they RNS'd something red hot I would not exactly beleive a word of it.

Who knows what the Sept report will bring so historical prices may not be much help. I got a bit caught by the huge drop in January, been in and out around a dozen times now and shown a gain at last although not huge.

Would not buy at nearly 5 quid but keeping an eye out for the possible next 30 to 40 p drop should it happen again.

I would take 16p quite happily but unlike perhaps many others my average is 9p and only held them this year,

well MnG, Lgen,Osb are good. MnG is cheap as chips. UKW is also reliable with around 7%.

Needs the divi back to really get going again. Wonder when the shorter will quit?

Doing similar thing with 5k of them. Need price to be 256p to make it worthwhile. If the price level is similar to what happened with MnG the best hope would appear from now up to the end of the day before the day before ex div day.

And someone has just dumped 868k from the look of it.

Even lower today, got myself another 2k. Loads of bargains around elsewhere as well.

Surely it will get the kick from the new isa year - got to be a good one to have inside an isa?

One great deal .. yes it will fly - if you can believe whatever the "deal announced" is true. Am sat on a nasty loss probably like others but will just stick with it and cross something or other.

Thanks info. Tried ENI but no success. Reason I stick with Aviva actually is because they have a really good rate on cash held and bulk of money is held that way currently. I do ok with etf's so not a big deal having to stick with UK listers on actual stock trading. I just detest handing this incredibly appalling government with even a penny if I can avoid it - and think there is worse to come.

Yes I meant the sdrt tax. I cannot buy non uk listed stock on the platform as it's Aviva pension and not allowed. Can buy etf's though. Would play with U.S. otherwise.
