At current levels CLNR is at Cash at Bank level which values Selene, Pensacolar etc at zero, zilch, big fat 0.

It has been common practice for years, Companies revalue assets for a number of reasons. Not saying this has happened with MARS. It has been stated the "under-performing" Pubs were sold below recorded asset value. It could be they were over-valued on the Capital Account or more likely, imo, the Company are determined to reduce debt, saw an opportunity and took it, not quite a fire-sale. It may well be keeping these under-performers and the management/maintenance costs out-weighed the discount even though on the face of it significant.

Property is the stock in trade of a Property Company and apart from off-setting tax ,paper revaluations are of little or no benefit until liquidated unless Directors are enhancing deliberately to increase dividends. A practice I think may have been curtailed by major Banks.

Any thought off-sales will compensate decreased pub sales maybe hopeful when the consumer has diminished income.

IMO the whole event, effecting the entire Global Economy, is being escalated for other reasons. It is widely known the Global Economy has overheated and a re-adjustment is necessary. The Coronavirus is a convenient and easy way to "sell" a general Market adjustment to Joe Public. Gobal deaths so far are nothing against the normal and accepted mortality of annual flu outbreaks. Anyone remember Asian Flu which attacked us in the 1960's, before vaccines had even been developed?
The current virus, to me is being overhyped and sad as it is to those who succumb, is a tool to bring about a Market adjustment.

We will recover, medically and financially, anyone who has the nerve could make good money.

are to some extent "driving the bus" and there are factors which will determine the drilling programme, which may come sooner than many believe.
The Giant Gronnigen Gas Field is due to close in 2022, the Netherland's Government have brought forward it's closure from 2030 due to serious and damaging Earthquakes attributed to the Gas field. Shell are a major operator and although the Gronnigen production finds it's way into Europe, the loss will inevitably put pressure on other Gas Fields in or planned for production in the Southern North Sea.
Bacton terminal, having been upgraded, will require new Field production within the near future to keep the terminal at capacity once older field production falls away.
Once these various production issues are consolidated into RDSA drilling timeline, it is reasonable to expect a SP valuation to a level someway above the abysmal value currently seen.

Barchid as indicated a day or 2 ago the div could be an easy target. The market, I suggest is not confident and even high div stcoks are not showing resilience even these " Hurricane Conditions".

Mike the whole market is being hammered, not just Cluff. The market will recover once all these shanhanigans in China is sorted.

Trent it is right our SP, even lower, is still above general market decline. This may be some consolation however talk of Div reduction cannot be ignored.
The Whole Global Economy is moving into unknown territory where profits will come under pressure and company's highly debt geared will face serious choices, one being Dividend reduction. Any company paying above the level of inflation div, could see a reduction as an easy option.
Don't be under any illusion, I am not. We in uncharted waters.

Scooby. have watched a number of aim shares for a while and considering the whole object of this market is to allow small co's an easier access to funding, which it does for many , however seems to me the lack of good Regulation, is/has enabled elements to engineer strategies using the market something akin to a Casino.
Fermenting fear which shifts prices by as little as 5% and then allowing the SP to recover is one way to achieve a living when the process is repeated time and time again over a number of stocks. It is bizarre how prices decline on good news and improve on no news. The Mongrels who perpetrate this trade are not True Investors , basically parasites. WE have seen this behaviour here in abundance these past months much to the chagrin of genuine investors.
