Why invest in anything when Negative values fill your head? Majority invest for positive reasons. In general confidence in the product, competence of Management, delivery of shareholder value, association with proven Corporations etc. These are fundamentals, imo, which will drive a Company forward.
The next 12 months are going to prove the value or otherwise of very many Oilers. CLNR is better placed than most, cash in Bank(Funded through to end 2021), pre-eminent Major on-board. Just a couple of positives to keep in mind.
Carbon Energy stocks are coming under greater scrutiny than ever, Exxon,Mobil have amongst others faced significant reduction of profits. This may be cyclical, it is also likely to be a sign of more challenging times ahead. Black Rock, with all it's Trillions, is becoming very selective with regards funding of E&P company's. This does not bode well for those Energy Company's planning to raise huge funding requirements in the near to mid-term, there are 1 or 2 seeking to find not 10's but 100's of Millions. Whether they succeed or not is highly debatable, what is certain CLNR are not in that position, were they a number here would be highly nervous. For the moment we have no such fears. I have severely trimmed my exposures in Oilers, not here, but will watch events as they unfold with Shell, New Licence Allocations, etc.
Serious investors will have formed their opinions by research/experience. Listening to "Johnny Come Lately's" who appear and disappear like Mr Benn, have their own agenda and should be treated with the disdain they deserve.
