Drilling costs are there for anyone to research. It is general knowledge NS costs have reduced significantly since the OIL price crash.

When numbers are extrapolated without some detailed qualifier except to say "as stated by i3e" who have openly announced Farm-out talks are taking place, it is not possible to put a reliable cost on whatever funding is going to be necessary. Trust that is understandable?

To readers Tony it would seem you are trying to undermine the SP for some reason!!!!

tony your words " previous costs" . NS drill costs range between £150-200 a day. The costs you quote are either not reliable or include other on costs.
Obviously a Farm-in does not come free, We can't have it both ways.
To virtually pluck a number out of the air without knowing the Company's negotiating position can be at best misleading. Some would think scaremongering.

tony drill costs are in the region of £175k per day. Using the historic costs quoted around 150 drilling days which allows for associated costs, tugs, service supplies etc. If 30 days per drill, for example, there will be a minimum of 5 drills. Is this the plan?
Have you factored in the proposed Farm-in, which blows a significant hole in the cost projections stated?

PDMS, what in your opinion, is the required total funds for the drill programme being organised for 2020?

G_G_G, your fury is palpable. It may lessen your pain to remember Bybrook took a significant placing in early December at 35p. Cannot see them allowing the Company to remain in the doldrums for too long. It would be surprising if they ( Bybrook) are not privee to better information!!

Trent afraid Fake news has become the norm on Boards here and literally everywhere. It can place company's under disproportionate pressure, but does need to countered quickly.
It is hard to believe, as the Regulator is mentioned, that this report is totally false as the perpetrator would be in serious trouble.
Let's hope Ralph answers quickly with dismissive answers.

There is No doubt however accurate or not the Report is, the Company does need to respond otherwise confidence will be affected.

barchid/trent, it seems strange that this matter has been dealt with by the Regulator and yet NO information from the Company, which if nothing else would have thought notice of the proceedings and or a denial of the allegation/findings.
IMO with the publication of the case, which the BOD should be fully aware, a RNS is overdue.

Having read the report there are a number of questions to be answered.
Having been in the beverage industry, why is/was filtration processes not more rigorous? To have over 5% as waste(yeast residue) is astonishing. When casked there will be always be a small residue after decanting, 1-2% should be max, even then could be down to poor management,i.e decated over too long a period. Even so the Brewery would be aware and should have advised/accounted accordingly. Landlords have probably known for a while but reluctant to rock the boat!!
The worrying point(financial) if accepted, is the claimed loss each year of £110m by Landlords. This in its self could completely undermine the Debt Reduction Programme.

There is another valid consideration, now this issue seems too have been a known to occur amongst some Major Brewers for a while and is now open to the World, potential bidders will be extremely cautious before committing investment in Brewers.
Just hope Marstons have a robust defence.
