In my experience Placings are not Underwritten but Open Offers are. Placings come with details of Parties agreeing to Subscribe on agreed terms.

JA that is correct, much depends on the premium that is attached to a Sell order. As you point out it comes with risk, if the SP suddenly charges ahead. It is a situation where one needs to constantly monitor movements and even consider putting only a portion of ones holding into such an advanced Sell price. One thing is for sure Shorters are being allowed to carry on this appalling practice without penalty, something a New Government needs to close down.

If Shorts are/have increased, they will need to borrow shares from willing Brokers who often hold Shares in Trustee accounts. In other words shares owned by ordinary PI's are lent more often than not without their knowledge.
Serious Holders should give their Broker an instruction to counter this practice.

Latino your gripe is well founded, however they (GH &Maj) were on Monday between a rock and a hard place. Yes they do carry some responsibility for the leak, is it probable someone on the Rig, and not directly under the control of I3E, is the source and should be taken to task. All Employees on the rig must be subject to an NDA and Contractual action should be taking place. In so far as the RNS, without giving inaccurate information, they put out what could be considered a holding statement pending the full results. Unfortuneately it did not calm the market and in some ways allowed the scurrilous activities of some too feed on the statement.
We are where we are and we have too see how the market reacts tomorrow. The Interview gives me confidence, just wish I had piled in heavier earlier. May not this bargain price again.

Captain like it or not these guys were not cowering away like some Execs of similar co's have done, so they deserve credit for fronting up.

Viewing the Proactive interview,these guys are not hiding away as some Execs have in similar situations, and from that point of view should instil confidence. They are both very conscious of the SP and emphasisied they are holders.

The very fact they have come out quickly to reassure investors deserves credit. IMO
