Todays drop was obviously going to happen, there are around 3 months to wait for the results and there will be opportunities to trade the stock over that period---only for the brave hearted though as it's just as easy to get the trades wrong and lose money than to get it right and add 5-10% each trade.

I.G. I confess to selling at 5.05. I had a target of 5p and watched it come and go a couple of months ago, and then it came and went again. I could perhaps have made 5.20 earlier this week but decided to jump out until the facts are known. I have ridden the price up from just over 2p and i'm reaching that stage in life where there are not many more opportunities to recover any losses. Even though the Zephyr ship is normally pretty tight, the market hasnt reacted in recent weeks to the anticipated well performance so i've taken the cash out to preserve it. There are always other opportunities if one has some funds to make something of them. If I lose on this I have no more funds arriving from anywhere other than perhaps another trade, but no spare income. If the Mcap goes to 150m by the end of the month then Happy days for those that have taken the chance--huge good luck to all that stay with it.

Or even 2.2% of their fund is invested in Zphr as opposed to owning 2.2%. Just under £1m. I wouldn't say no to that.

Both have dropped a similar % from their high points. TGR 55p to 6.5--with the 35% increase today.

GGG do you mean 1bn$ company? its already $70m. $100m gives a 45% approx upside which is a nice to have but we have already been $180m in the past.

Civils start towards end of July, Rig mobilise start of August, site set up and rig assembly and equipment test mid august. Drilling end of august-early Sept.--just as a pure guess.

Small oilers use drilling contractors because owning and maintaining a rig for the limited number of wells drilled isnt cost effective. They can also sue for compensation if their contract is set up on a performance basis. i.e. If the Drill Co screws up, the company can go for compo. If they own their rig the buck stops right there. They also need to find a reliable crew that has some allegiance to the company as opposed to a bunch of folk that are not used to working together and have no interest other than to screw the company for as much as they can. Getting and keeping a reliable crew is highly difficult if they are not continuously drilling and the drill crew earning $$. An imported rig and crew tend to work much better.

Not saying that the same will happen here but once upon a time I was way too exposed in a company called African Potash APFO. I had 32 grand in there that disappeared up its own doo dahs to virtuallly zero value. I kept them more or less as a stark reminder of what can go hideously wrong, not expecting any miracles. A year or so later along came a chap named Chris Cleverly who made a lot of promises and the SP rocketed for several days to the point where almost all my 32k was restored, I think maybe 28k. I took it out before the SP reached it highest point and then watched the SP disappear up it own doo dahs again, sadly leaving many investors with nothing and mr Cleverley was the 'bad man'. To me he was bl88dy hero lol. Point is that sometimes holding on until the end is worthwhile and sometimes not. You never know, one day this well might just blow out all of that cr*p holding back the flow and burst into life--it probably won't of course and I'm really not suggesting it is remotely likely but strange things happen etc etc.

Stally. I have read a couple of your posts and have agreed with what you have said here and elsewhere-HEX, you do at least seem to have your head screwed on. The trouble is, what looks like in incredible bargain opportunity has been that way for about a year or more and there is little correlation between how well the company are performing and the share price/mcap. Price should be 50p plus with the increasing reserves, the delivery on what has been promised and the cash reserves as a cushion already in place if they have a mis-hap. Yet other stocks, trading on hype alone see to do much better. Beats me tbh. I've been in Axl now for about 18months and one day the market will catch on .

@downbutnot out. FFS. Its not a beam/rod pump is it. Its a multistage electric pump with impellers that draw in fluid at the bottom and pass it through its internal stages and up to the surface. The pumps are more susceptible to wear and damage and the intake is filtered to prevent ingress of debris. If it cant 'intake' a good fluid flow for some reason it is likely to not work at all or work intermittently. Debris and mud collecting around the intake can be the cause of it, or it could be something other than that such as electrical. The potential Mud/Debris was why I always said that they should install the rod pump initially until they get a 'picture' of what the well is doing and to give it a chance to clean up the cr&p. They went for the esp straight off--rest my case.
