I still think they will go for the cheaper Rod pump until they see how the well performs. ESP may need an element of design built into it dependant upon what they find. If the well produces 150-200bbls, then the well-proven work horse rod and pump will do the job. They may want to flow the well for a bit just to get rid of any stubborn bits of steel cuttings lurking around after the window milling. But--having said that my first thoughts were that if they were so confident in the flow, PD and porosity then go straight for the ESP and get it flowing at optimal rates. Binary bet lol.

@lordloadsoflolly. I looked up the definition of dilution just to see what the dictionary says, but I think that from all of the definitions, your explanation is the best. Now if we consider Dai-lution, its the same thing but the Welsh version.

I'm going for rod pump. Tried and tested, robust agricultural by comparison and they already have it. ESP may need to have specific design parameters based upon what the well is doing and may be capable of so it may need to be specified and then ordered ( or maybe not). ESP by comparison is more expensive, has variable control and more subject to wear and tear. Rod pump can chug away and they can run more tests on flow and pressure build up whilst pumping oil. Clean up of the well bore still required to make sure the drilling debris and any metal from the milling operation has been removed. They will prob have to run a production tube from the intermediate casing and then stimulate the well, there will then be more clean up time to allow the black stuff to flow through the crunchie bar and out past the chocolate. The previous 'cleaning up' is now irrelevant as the production zone on schb2 has likely been plugged and cemented.

I seem to recall the SP reaching 28p during a trading day some months ago. Mind you, I can't really understand why its only at 20p now after such a terrific year of progress.

Sidetrack operations doesn't necessarily mean they have started drilling therefore be careful about trying to project an end date. Photo shows the bop still on the ground so at the time of the photo they weren't drilling.

@banksman. Surprised about your post. R.J. is correct with his comment. All of that has been overtaken by events and is now irrelevant. There has also been a more recent mention of down hole pressures which to me was better than I had initially thought it would be. --Its probably in one of the rns's or a presentation.
