RE: More than likely see 17.5p14 Oct 2024 11:16
Last rns said that mobilisation had started - not that the rig was on site. Hopefully it has now arrived but it will need to be set up and operationally checked over, probably do some P.M's and BOP test before it is ready for action. The casing has to be delivered, offloaded and checked for size and length and cleaned up ready to be screwed together. The Mud pump has to arrive, get tested and the cuttings/mud separation pit has to be set up, the cement should be on site with the cement pump ready to go all before they think about going back in the hole. These activities will hopefully be ongoing at the moment. Once they are ready to go it is another 7-10 days to get the casing in place and cemented in. i.e. about 2 weeks to wait from now providing the rig has actually arrived, for stage 1. Stage 2 will be to decide whether to drill ahead or not and then if so-carry out the deepening. Stage 3 will be to wireline and look for the production zones. Stage 4 will be to stimulate those zones by whatever means they decide to use and then run a well test on those zones starting from the bottom up. There will be several trips in and out of the hole between operations to circulate bottoms up, wiper trip etc, it all takes time. this well is about a mile deep, there is at about half a mile of casing to push down the hole with each 10m approx section being screwed in to the previous one before being pushed and rotated into the hole. It will be conducted with a cautious approach and not horsed in there just to get it done quickly so ffs don't start on about delays and problems before they even get going. Come back in November as I said in September.
