Ajw. Do we know at what depth this sidetrack kicks off at? Hotizontal is 100m so once they have turned the corner at the target depth then 100m could be as little as a week to 10 days, so mid Feb is possible for the drill target indeed. Looking forward to the pump performance at Norio. Fingers crossed for somewhere near 50... would be nice, optimistic though.

One thing's for sure--news will come--good/bad or indifferent.

Next news will probably be the convoy exiting B R Plant next week. It is such a pity that the PR and official rns's are not 'delivered' upon. Giving specific dates is always a risk and the damage caused by not doing what they say outweighs to benefit of trying to be informative and 'genuine'.

Morning ladies. Seems that the contracted rig is still in the frame and negotiations are ongoing. Market will be updated as soon as there is news. 260 and all the other gubbins should be leaving (starting to leave) on Monday. Would be good to track it. Some companies would fit a tracker and make it public, some wouldn't lol.

Well, the rns has managed to knock 7% off our value. If no contracted rig then back to 2's. They still have 2 days to redeem themselves.

JSB. They wont be any flow testing on C37 until they either get that contracted rig and get bl**dy drilling or we wait until March for the 260. In which case c37 will be April/May.
I am waiting to get confirmation one way or another about this contracted rig. Are we getting it or not. 14 working days promised which means tomorrow or Friday. I will give till Monday, or maybe not, we'll see

Aim is rather dead, but W.R results are H1, not Q1. Realistically we are talking June/July.

Norio will be chipping away in the meantime with some hopefully better than expected flow increases to keep the pecker up. Interim result/news/feedback on 16a to look forward to over the coming weeks as well.

Yep, can be 10m a day mate, possibly less. Plenty of risks with high pressures and best to go v slow and watch for every minuscule change in the behaviour of the rig, especially weight on bit --imv anyhow. A massive kick if the pressure is suddenly released onto the drill string is not what you would want. There is such a lot riding on this, safe not sorry. Not too slow on the rotation though, don't want the whole thing getting stuck.
Anyhow--folk are of the opinion that they are down to where they need to be--I would have thought there would have been a bigger rise in SP if that were the case (word always gets out) but who knows. There is night tonight before possible news tomorrow

AJW. According to news and interview, the next stage is to put 44 on pump to test the actual production before perhaps going back in again to perforate other zones, but agree, it will be interesting to find out what the full potential with holes poked in the 3 zones.
We are still waiting for that comparison with the other well which will showcase the benefits of microbore drilling.
News expected any moment of W.R drilling started followed by Norio update at a guess.
Busy few weeks.

Nuisance isn't it. Convinced myself over the weekend to sell elsewhere and suffer the loss and buy more here. Was put off by the early rise for no apparent reason other than a tiny buy and thought it might drop back. No chance then.

I have spent many an hour tipping chemicals down the hopper and into the mud pit. Brings back a few memories. Cleaning out the pits was a bit of an experience. Full on fire hose inside an enclosed box. Anyhow, back to the future, drilling any day now, relatively shallow with not too long to wait for result.

Yeah, we can only speculate eh? My first thought is that the rental will only manage C37 unless they get a good ROP and reach the depth quickly, if they drill the extra 20metres first, which is essentially two lengths of DP and then pull all the way out to test it, and then run back in to finish off the next 200-300m then it will may well take up much of the 2 month period. There will be some contingency time built in to the 2m at a guess so realistically I think 1 well only for it knowing the speed at which things occur, but. if they get a good ROP at those depths and manage 40-50m a day then they should be able to de-rig and set it up at 26 to allow the A80 back in to run the wireline again at 37 and drop in a pump or whatever else they need to do. It would be good to get two wells deepened concurrently during the 2months for sure. We are all being fantastically patient and yes, only after the event will we sort of know what happened or not.
Someone should let AC know that the big noisy diesel thing was not a mud pump though. :)

K.B.. Morning. I was being facetious with my post tbh, we are of course all waiting for this wayward rig that could have become available in Nov, or was it Oct. However, if it had been rented at the time, it would have been used for the work that the 80 did and would have cost according to Zen, an additional 250k, so, on the one hand we may have had 37 finished by now and on the other hand it would have cost more for the same end result. If 37 is successful then its earlier success would have offset the additional costs. cake and eat it, ducks on a pond, pigs that fly, damned if you do and damned if you don't and any other anecdotal references welcome. :)
