I am hoping for 100-150bbls a day from each of these 'C' wells as a baseline with potential for more if the cretaceous proves positive. I think both have just entered the upper levels of the cretaceous already and need to be deepened to test a wider interval. We shall see before too much longer. Brand new well to come later in the year.....accompanied with a large portion of chest puffing and a world tour to promote it---I will also invite AC to join me on the tour if he wants to come.

Z21 blowout happened when there was no work being done. A seal failed causing the blowout. It came a a bit of a surprise to the then drilling manager as the well had previously been pretty much dead. The work required to finish it is quite risky, therefore it has been put on hold for now which is frustrating as we can see the potential but it should be revisited using our own rig and personnel once they have more experience with the new equipment.

And yes, although it is unusual for a small company to own its own rigs, it does give flexibility and reduces potential delays in rented rig availability and will becom cost effective after a period of time. It can also allow zen to carry out work without the wider audience having any knowledge of what they are doing. :)

My sentiments entirely. Their ability to complete something start to finish is currently in doubt. I said almost a year ago that the current chance of success was zero and was called a clown. Based on past performance the cos remains the same. They need to prove competence and technical ability, prove they can plan a well and implement their plan to a conclusion. A.C is determined to make this a success. - his words--- he and his team now need to show that they can deliver. We have until May ish to find out.

Yep, this was never going to be a quick resolution. I had it down fro March or so from the words in one of last year's rns's. There is nothing specific delay but it won't be quick. It just depends whether there is anyone still looking in by that time and whether the resolution has much effect. Everyone may well be dead from boredom and waiting.

If we ever get that BQ500--I have doubts that we will and tbh hope we don't, then the set up time is a few days--it sort of folds itself out of the box so to speak. This one needs a few folk with spanners by the looks of it-although I have no direct knowledge about it really.

Ooohh wouldn't it be marvellous if they have thought about the sequencing of items leaving the factory such that they were in the order of assembly. They can start putting it together and send the lorry away without congesting the site so that when the last truck arrives the thing is about ready to go apart from any other topsides stuff that is not part of the rig.

Correct and a few weeks to wait for initial flow and the several more weeks to wait for stabilised figure. All best guess, based upon so far accurate geology, therefore one would anticipate the guessed figures to somewhere near correct. However..Those folk that invested their shirt over at echo were banking on an all singing and all dancing life chancing opportunity in well 1001, it wasn't and it didn't flow. There is a 50% loss there in 2 days and possibly more to come. Nothing is guaranteed until it is proven.

Pity is that it will be long week. I do admire your enthusiasm RH. I'm not sure that the rig has actually left Italy yet in its entirety. I would have thought that we would get a final pic and tweet saying the last of the 260 is leaving. At the moment and according to the last rns, they have not announced a specific use for it, so we shall see if it rocks up at c37 or not.
Hopefully those jcb's have levelled the playing field and started created any bases required for the equipment set up, mud storage and a couple of big temporary storage tanks for the test oil to flow into -yee haa.
