Captain. Wasn't sure that you were still here mate. You are obviously patient and from past posts kinda sensible too. We are all getting frustrated with the length of time taken and the lack of front-line progress. It is no surprise really after such a long time. I guess that we all remain because we believe that the overall outcome will be positive, I just hope to be able to live to see the day!.

Just looked at trades, someone bought a reasonable amount today--

Bench. Its a company with potential.. 9m mcap and a 10bopd production. Proof of concept at Norio is the first step and then positive first attempt at West Rustavi will prove competence of both the management and the operations team.
If they are successful then it is a bargain-or was a bargain at 3p. The share is also off the radar at the moment although P.H is doing is plenty of promotion.
Be happy that its quiet, there are no idiots on the bb.
I am hoping that they have underestimated Norio, it is 100% owned, its 'clean' and whatever gets produced can be sold, less the bit for the Georgian Govt.. This time next month...

A100 fit out progress and delivery to Azer? what will it do first? will it be in time for c26 and can it do all the work itself or will the 260 have to finish it.? Can we deploy all rigs concurrently, A80/A100/C260 and what will they be doing?
When do we start our horizontal drill in Murukhanli- surely must be in the mix by now. Maybe put a bend in C26 and run a horizontal. Are we at 12p yet? lol.
Did someone remember to send the hydraulic oil and some spare pumps motors and hoses and ram seals for the 260? Don't think I will make on Thursday. I have appointments in London which I cant avoid but will try to end quickly and sneak in to the conference just before close.

lol. little choice really :). They are still drilling, likely entered the Djeno zone and still drilling into it. Once they have reached as far as they want to or they are no longer experiencing any oil encrusted shale into the shaker house and have decided to call it a day, they will stop drilling and tell all.

It wasn't not investment advice by the way, just a comparison--very similar oip reserves, old wells, etc. you will find me over there--also S7, there are others too. There is almost an AJB but he is AJW instead. different character though. Still hoping that Zen will ultimately outshine them all with our own equipment, lower drilling costs and careful use of cash. just need a few drops of oil please :)

yep, I have foolishly stayed invested on the basis that on the balance of probability, they must in the end be able to crack it and start moving forwards. Some of the other small oilies have valuations higher based on expectations and a certain amount of hype from various quarters including their own Co's. AAOG is around 22 million or so but are not producing much. Bloe are valued higher than us and only produce 10 or so bbls a day. They are however, getting on with it and have a similar set up to Zen in terms of old wells and similar landscape. They even share the same Kura Valley area but over the border in Georgia.. I have pennies in AAOG and few pounds in Bloe but very small amounts due to having put way too much money in here at 10p ish which is currently looking a bit sick. The illusive 1000bbls mid year ish would sort out the credibility issue that Zen have currently. Some meaningful targets and a forward looking program well by well would also help and then to stick somewhere near it would be a bonus!
At the moment we have no idea what the term 'highly prospective' means in terms of C37. Other Co's say they are targeting XXx bbl from the intervention on well no xzy. We just say 1000bbls this year, last year and year before. Zen need to be more specific and more accurate. Highly prospective could be anything between 100 and 500. They should have a clue from data and the logging completed. If they haven't then they are just stabbing at holes in the hope that there will be some oil--not a good strategy.
Maybe there will be some nuts and bolts news at the conference on Thurs other than we are operating the largest onshore filed in Azerbaijan and have bought lots of toys and have gotten ourselves in debt. We all want this to succeed, none more than me--, AC also wants success and has a tidy sum invested but perhaps has a longer timescale in mind and at the moment his 'team' has not performed or is just the wrong team. The new members announced OCT/Nov last year was a short term shot in the arm but have we heard anything from them or what they are working on or what they have achieved? nahh.
Realistically a 40m mcap should be easy enough to achieve. Essay over.lol

Tks AJW. They should have cut the window in the casing, oriented the drill and drilling ahead by now. I am guessing that the window could be at around 18-1900m vertical to allow the curvature to reach horizontal which would as you say include a new section running straight through the production zone of that 200m column. Not sure where I got the 200m sidetrack from. In any case if the drill length is 800m = 80 lengths of pipe. 10-20 days.- mid Feb still possible which really is not long at all. Norio ticking along in the background, now where is that Well 44 pump production figure.

What is your Bayesian probability on getting news of a rig contract this week? If we use frequentist inference then there is no possibility at all. Lets hope the 'hope' or belief element wins. No news by Thursday would be poor if AC is attempting to rally any interest at the conference, so I am going for a yes we will.
