Pity is that it will be long week. I do admire your enthusiasm RH. I'm not sure that the rig has actually left Italy yet in its entirety. I would have thought that we would get a final pic and tweet saying the last of the 260 is leaving. At the moment and according to the last rns, they have not announced a specific use for it, so we shall see if it rocks up at c37 or not.
Hopefully those jcb's have levelled the playing field and started created any bases required for the equipment set up, mud storage and a couple of big temporary storage tanks for the test oil to flow into -yee haa.

Yep JSB, it is encouraging to see the amount of interest developing again and the volume picking up. However one looks at it, there is a good chance of those buying now, doubling their money within the next 3 months or 50% on momentum and anticipation which is not a bad roi :). I need it to be 3 x just to come out clean, here's hoping !.

BB hopefully the outstanding initial flow rates settled down to a decent sustainable figure and there are no issues with the well clogging and sanding. if there are no issues then I am still thinking that there could be 50+ which would be a stonking result for just one production zone on the first attempt with the tool.

AJ, Disappointment again but we kinda worked it out on here that they were going to C30 as there was a problem at C26. Casing damage is quite a common occurrence. There are fixes available depending on what the cause may be but fixes are not guaranteed to be successful Better to move on to a.n.other and find another usable well. It is unlikely that Zen are the cause of the damage, it is more likely to be lack of cement, poor quality cement, well bore erosion behind the cement causing it to collapse, poor quality casing material, or combinations of all of the above.
If they had more money--and they may be already thinking about it, I would consider plugging and side tracking it. Anyhow, this is what we have--better then flybe by the sounds of it. 40p offer for the company a year ago, zero value today.

Morning KB. Well, they are now still saying that they are contracting out c37. This was not mentioned at all in the last presentation. They are still trying to reduce cost by competitive tendering and speed of availability or just stirring up smoke for a bit longer. April at least if they do finally wait for the 260 and potentially before if they sub-contract providing they get moving on it. Back to 3 or possibly less. An rns next week to say they have contracted out and will mobilise on March 1 would be most welcome. We have had a year of costs and negative performance.

P.S That dividend should be coming through pretty soon too.

One to deepen 20-30 metres further into the production zone and then test it and then to carry on into the late Cretaceous which they say is unexplored but actually it has been as some of the exiting wells have been drilled into it. It is however reasonable to say that it has not been explored to any significant degree.

The logging is what I have been mentioning. They have supposedly completed it but we don't know what sort of logging was done. There is a simple technique where the inside diameter and general condition of the casing is measured and more complex pulsed neutron logs which identify differences in formation density and areas where they believe production may be achieved. I mentioned a couple of times that it would be good to learn the results of whatever they found, but at the mo we don't have any idea.

The first deepening was being considered to be completed with the workover rig I believe but common sense would say that it would be likely to run into trouble and therefore they are waiting for a propert rig to deal with it...hence waiting

Zeb.. Stop thinking man, you will only be disappointed!. Its probably too early for the satellite tracker updates, we don't actually know whether the thing has left the factory yet--parts of it have, but maybe there are only 20 trucks and half will have to wait for the return journey. Facetious also of course.

You are saying much the same as I was saying yesterday too. AC as likeable as he is doesn't really appear to understand the damage caused when a strategy announced to the market doesn't materialise and then suddenly there is a different strategy. An explanation of what/why things have changed would soften the impact. As mentioned we are now onto another previously unmentioned well C30 with no reasoning behind what happened to C26. It seems to me as though they are running out of options if C37 was in poor condition then that is one off of the 'new' list.

Zeb--there are many ways to deal with sanding and new methods are being developed all the time. The only big question is wft are Zen going to do about it and are they prepared to spend the money upfront otherwise there seems little point in drilling anything. They did mention once that gravel packs would be used but who knows. The solution needs to be right solution for the characteristics of the sand/flow/pressure blah blah.

I just want the rig on site set up and ready to do something. 40 trucks is quite a convoy, imagine that lot all pulling in a the Greece sees poon en route.
