Amused. It confirms that the completion design on 16Az has not delivered and they are learning from it. Mobilisation news etc is guiding ones thoughts onto what's next as opposed what happened. There are 4 more bites at the cherry, 38 and 3 more wells to follow. You will either have to sit tight and let them get on with their job or sell up and give someone else your money. At least there should not be any surprise cash calls over the next few months unless some acquisition opportunity arises.

You have no idea how important at least a modicum of success here means to me. I cannot survive a failure. A minor success will at least help. I think we have a respect for one another and I would really appreciate it if you could try and be at least hopeful for success here and be positive about what is happening right now. I am no more enamoured with the performance to date than you but I have to remain hopeful. We do not have huge influence over the SP, but as people seek out Zen and perhaps locate this board for the first time, I could do with them investing based on a positive board as opposed to going elsewhere with their money. Life and death here mate.

I don't believe that the bod were dishonest as the information given to them was correct at the time. It seems fairly obvious that there are now problems with the well and there is a likelihood of it being shut in. If it were still producing at 330/day or thereabouts then that storage tank would have been filled and there would most likely have been a notification about a sales contract for the content. It hasn't happpenned which gives support to a non producing well. Maybe deliberately shut in, maybe not.

As suspected running back after some sort of change out of bottom hole equipment. Back to drilling tomorrow. Good to see them running in again, it means progress.

Hopefully we won't get a gusher as it means they have lost control! The well is already linked up to a pipework distribution system that also with any sense of forward planning will lead to those refurbished storage tanks that Zen have been working on together with infrastructure improvements. They will likely have some separation unit to separate oil/water if there is any water but hopefully not. Oil has been produced from here before don't forget therefore it just needs piping through to sales. Unlike some of the problems experienced on other stocks where there are no routes to monetisation.
This well so far as I can establish, produced around 160 bbls a day in 2008 when first drilled, and that does not include the additional 20-30 metres. If the extra meterage incorporates a continuation of the initial columns then a controlled gusher remains a possibility.

I understand the slight confusion here now. Lol. The drill pipe laying flat will be a few spare singles plus (maybe) some thicker wall pipe. The singles on the ground will be used to add depth to the hole and will be joined one at a time, same as any other rig. The vertical ones currently 'racked back' in the mast are what is required to run back in to the current depth. Because they mast is fairly full, it means that the drill bit is not currently at the bottom of the hole. They may be running back in or pulling out or have pulled out completely to change the BHA, ( bottom hole assembly) amongst other things, the bha includes the drill bit. They may in fact have been coring whilst drilling, hence very slow progress which would tie in with analysis of the structure for future well design. The bit will need to be changed so that more progress can be made until the overlaying cap above the late Cretaceous is reached. Some words via tweet would have been helpful, as all of the ablove could be total fiction. Lol.

Yeah, it's not conclusive about what they are currently up to and difficult to estimate the number of stands lined up, but it looks fairly full and therefore as suggested by Ageos, they may have pulled back out after the Eocene section. Not sure why there doesn't appear to be much going on in the pit, would have expected higher level of mud.

To give out info that may have a bearing on sp when the market is closed is probably against some rule somewhere and poor practice in any case..,even though other markets are open. Confirmation of the existence of the potential structure sitting in the Late/Upper Cretaceous zone at C37.
Replication of the above at C30
Confirmation that the late Cretaceous hydrocarbon structure spans to C30
Competent person review of oil in place reserves to include the new structure.
1000+ bbls in production from these two wells plus the 250 ish already producing.

Some secret and interesting/hopefully SP accretive news alluded to by AC recently to be divulged in an upcoming company update.
Decision on the location/design and spud date for Zen 01.

Yep, that's a good thing--no leaks--no mud pixxing out from the swivel overhead. It might get a bit oily if/when they have to pull out to change that chocolate drill bit when the teeth have melted, --they will have mud all over the place though when they break the joints--it always leaks even with a mud bucket.--that is all in the future though.

I do look in there mate thanks--keep reminding, I don't mind, its all over the place tho, get it right and it could be great for trading at the moment. 16-20% swings. BTC volatile too, but if they achieve their goals short term then you will me minted--or cryptoed or whatever is the expression.

Yes, as frustrating as it is and personally speaking how far under water some of us are is depressing, we are at least kept informed of sorts on a regular basis. I have been in and out of CASP a couple of times and there can be several months between any news at all and when it comes it raised more questions than it answers.

A few short weeks to wait here now and undoubtedly supported with tweets in between.

AJ. Ahh, I went elsewhere this year so June last year was my last visit . If you say they have done something about it then fair-do's. Might take a trip after the kids hols etc---in the middle of the wasp season!. Looks like your return has encouraged Zenith to actually start drilling their long awaited deepening project today. O/T a bit... I go to Corfu quite often, Agios Gordis and Pelekas on the west coast. Nice area great beach, fairly quiet, good food. I have no idea what you a re talking about re the airport though lol. I agree it is better than it was in 1976 when I first went there but its still awful !. Anyhow, folk were mentioning your demise and I said the last news was--on holiday--you didn't miss a lot in any case.

Rocket..I guess it depends when they start, as it stands just now we don't know for sure if they have actually started. If they don't hurry up I will be digging out my old offshore overalls and taking a flight to Baku to give them a prod. Overalls are the right colour in any case--I could sort of blend-in. Might be a bit warm though as they are super padded and equipped for minus 20 degrees. lol.
