Drilling a well whilst gathering data for a third party at the same time is not like running an airline to an agreed schedule. Well testing is exactly that, keep running tests until all the retrievable information has been gathered. 30 days, 60 days, whatever it takes, it'll get done when it gets done.

For those that like the idea of attempting to prolong the life of divested assets picked up from bigger players in Africa have a look at AET. There are certain synergies with Zenith. Can't say they are better or worse but worth a read of their web and rns history. POO has rebounded a bit which helps all of us invested in oilers.

No flaring doesn't necessarily mean there is no testing. Also, flaring is likely to be intermittent, several hours flowing the well and flaring off and then several hours shut-in. Sometimes days flowing and days shut in.

Looks like it's going into the mud mix. Can't say what chemical it is though. It's quite a small sack and the way that guy is fiddling around with it in small volumes doesn't look like it needs much to go in at any one time. i.e mixed into the mud system over a period of time to allow for better dispersion. Usually they use Barite as the main component but this looks like an additive to change the characteristics or change the ph level or summat. In other words, unless you have x ray eyes and get to read the product label--dunno. lol

lol. yes indeed, some wishful thinking. -- One snippet--it's not always about the max flow rate, it's about the best flow rate that will not cause damage/collapse to the well and will allow for the downhole pressure to remain sufficient to continue pushing the oil out unassisted by pumps. Best flow rate would give the most oil over time without having to spend millions on interventions that may be necessary if they rag it to death at full bore. They will likely close in the well to establish pressure build up and recovery rates at the production zone, i.e. wack it open on full bore and close it in and then watch/measure the time taken for the pressure build up. Sometimes the shut-in period can go on for days. They will have a whole suite of tests to carry out. Look it up. I expect that someone like Schlumberger or Halliburton might have a tutorial on well testing. just google well test tutorial, see what you get and then bring your homework in for marking :)

As long as a piece of string. 30 days, 60 days. Its not just opening the wellhead to see what comes out. :) Personally, I was anticipating a longer time period than what we have now been told, but if they will have gathered all of the data they need in the 30 days or so, then so be it.

Hey Runner. I was just pointing out that despite the sombre mood and slating the company currently ongoing on the bb, someone has been brave enough to go in with 18k at this juncture and therefore must expect their cash to return a profit, so perhaps all is not lost as some may have you believe.

What's the £18k trade all about? its a big figure for a gamble, speshly if one reads the comments on the bb for guidance on how the Co is doing lol.

Norvern. I am not expecting much of a change to the SP tbh. We already have indicators on the potential production figures from 16-2--I/we no doubt hope that the initial thoughts are proven to be near to or perhaps less than the reality otherwise the price will go negative . The drill is also already anticipated as being a success as its another look into the same structure. In other words, I won't have a sad-on if the SP doesn't get much past 7p in the short term. Nobody knows the answer though unless they are time travellers. Anyone?

At least Ethiopia was acknowledged in this rns today. "Tulu Kapi Gold Project in Ethiopia which is advancing to full project launch in light of the improvements in the Ethiopian working environment during the past twelve months and for which a formal update will be announced shortly". Can foresee focus in the new block overtaking the existing over time as the 'stuff' can be sold elsewhere in the market and not fixed to T&T current contract. Interesting and unanticipated development though. TXP is becoming one of those "A stock is for life and not just Christmas" investments. just need to bladdy hurry up with the current field work and get this show back on the road.

John. I posted before on this subject and suggested that folk should look at the definition of contingent resources. When that word is used to describe the millions of contingent resources, it should be taken only as a 'maybe' resource and not necessarily a recoverable resource. No value should be attributable as the description says that under current knowledge and ability, the resource is not recoverable/no commercial value However-the carrot is that the knowledge and ability will/may change significantly as further proof is developed and this is where the value of buying before that time is reached pays off--providing the result is positive.

Extend the test another 60 days, waste the gas---sell the oil. --(as another alternative)

Afternoon to you Bubble, HNY etc. I tried a dummy sell myself and got 6.155 which indicated the 1m was prolly a sell. The other large trade at 6.2 might just be a buy but may not. At this point in the program, increased activity on volume could be news filtering out from the drill pad--or any number of other reasons of course but in theory we ought to be +ve in anticipation and any large sells showing up play on the mind as being potentially bad news. I was just mentioning these so as to divert the conversation away from the unwanted attack on a certain individual. ATB

Besides the sharpening of handbags, there is a flurry of sells including 1m for £60k. Anyone worried.?
