Yeah that podcast was frustrating. They were getting across really positive news and information and were really bullish about prospects. But when man #1 asked man #2 for his update it sounded like he couldn’t find the fag packet he’d scribbled on and that he’d been woken up after a massive sleep! “What, who, Ita-what now ... err polymers ... err share price ... err prospects...” ??

I guess this can only be a positive thing longer term. Both seem to possess excellent credentials and experience. I’m not a serious investor here or LTH, I just have £500 in for now, I see lots of upside “all being well”. My main AIM holdings are ITX, ENET and ANGLE. Cheers.

Such an unusual day. The Offer and Bid prices barely moved by a millimetre the whole day. Can’t remember that happening recently?! Can’t see any point guessing whether an update might be released, would be great but amongst all the great assets itx have, shareholder and market comms ain’t one of ‘em.

Possibly a rash move but just bought another £3k when it was -6% just now ... 10.6p, bargain !!

Toli this board is wayyyy too quiet for your usual scattergun ramping, just a few of us here. Try somewhere else maybe? ITX and ENET are quite enthusiastic, you might have more luck there?

I often read comments on boards about MMs and what they’re up to and why. I’ve never actually understood what they do so have been unable to answer why “they have to let Xxx share go now!” (but don’t!) or why prices and spreads wobble around illogically at times.

Some emotional / illogical comments indicate I’m not the only one! So I just googled it and found a few articles explaining this alchemy. They helped me see things more clearly. Does anyone have any others?

Well, I sold some of the ones I bought at 5p at 7p aft the results. And another £1,500 at 9.6p a few weeks later. Both mistakes with the unshakable power of hindsight ! Ask yourself if you had the money now, where is the best chance to make money in the next week or month. I can’t think of anything better right now and I’m definitely no ramping happy clapper. Others may wish to take out their original investment for a free hit, nowt wrong with that but timing moves like this, as in any buy or sell is IMPOSSIBLE. Enjoy the ride for a bit, it won’t last forever (probably) ??

Agreed. But I think we can agree to stop using phrases like “growing at a rapid pace, far beyond what we imagined” as it’s not helpful. Especially given some of the over enthusiastic imaginations we are all guilty of on here from time to time.

A poster on the ADVFN forum spotted that 1.4m share buys have only just been posted from FRIDAY MORNING. Not sure what that might mean for tomorrow’s trading, certainly relatively big buys though?

Agreed. Products ... or / and orders for existing formulations which could provide darned fine growth on their own?

The phrase “attractive growth” is still making me laugh to myself. Like something your granddad might say !!!!!

Evening. I only just listened to the podcast. Much more lucid than the FY presentation I thought, despite the dreadful, robotic interviewer! Did anyone else notice at the end when JS was explaining the recent almost 6-fold share price increase ... he started to say (to my mind) something like ... that this could be the norm before reigning himself back in by generalising about our great prospects! Or maybe it’s just me!!

I suspect the reason for last year’s May RNS was actually the June one that followed !! I don’t think that applies in 2021 unless they’ve spent all the cash on a massive party!!

Right. I’ve looked at the top ten holdings of 22 “uk small cap” / AIM / Microcap funds and ITs. For each I chose an average of three companies either because they were #10 or I’d never heard of them or they just sounded cute and small. Not scientific at all !!!

The starting point market cap for the great majority was around £200m but bear in mind these caps could’ve grown muchly and may have started much smaller or much bigger, I just can’t tell. Exceptions I found nearer our cap of £39m were:

TM Stonehage AIM ... includes Ince Group £57m and Netcall £104m

Marlborough Nano Cap ... D4T4 £131m, Agronomics £132m and Access Intelligence £110m

Liontrust UK Micro ... Gateley £211m, Pebble £241m and Fonix Mobile £180m

Premier Miton UK Smaller ... In The Style £121m

Threadneedle UK Smaller ... 1Spatial £49m

Unicorn UK Smaller ... Braemar Shipping £68m

Draw your own conclusions from all that but some of the more micro/nano funds might not fund us too small. What other criteria they have I do not know. Financial health and growing revenues must be key, plus strength of management and governance i would think.

Cheers for the welcome. I was a long time lurker! Sadly I have no real expertise on funds and their effect on SPs. Any extra demand for shares can only be positive though. Until they sell out quickly as Woody had to do of course!

Some funds may already be holders as often they only publish their top 10 holdings. So we might be held as the 11th or 49th biggest holding or whatever.

I assume it’s the same for ITs?

Of course the higher our Cap, the higher up the order of holdings we go, assuming we’re in any ??? yet, hence one month a factsheet will suddenly have us in at number 9 or 10 or whatever. Especially if they buy more shares when we hit official profitability, as financial health must be a major factor as well. Remember we’ve already sought more funding quite recently ... which probably counts against our inclusion.

I’ll do some more digging into similar funds when I get chance.

Oh and yes I have a few Angle and Ethernity shares nowadays ??
