Hi beardozer,
Hard to say !
A lot depends on what you'd do with the proceeds : if you were spending the cash soon, you obviously want/need the highest figure you can get at the time. So your second range.....
If you've got an investment that you hoped would give you 3x or 4x within a reasonable timeframe (2-3 years, say) the low figure would still be OK. For me, based on my needs and wants and age and health and family circumstances, etc.
I'd just re-cycle.
What was it George Best said about where all his money went ? " Booze, fast cars and faster women...the rest I wasted."
I've been in ZIOC about 3 years now, maybe 4 , as a 'mad money' investment. If it had gone phut, so be it, write it off to experience and as one of the 6/7 out of 10 that don't perform ; at least you learn where you went wrong !
The frustrating thing with this share is that the fundamental story was good from the get-go, offset by a large number of 'challenges' that explained the low price. Most - but not all - of these challenges have dissipated....the story has got better....and yet , here we still are. As 'tantalisingly close' as ever...
Hopefully near the beginning of the end....
If there isn't tangible evidence of something happening this year, things like 'opportunity cost' will eventually start to weigh more on my outlook.
I was intrigued by the article suggestion that COIDIC might be looking at a (minority ?) equity stake in ZIOC (maybe a misreading/misunderstanding of the Framework Agreement ?), if it was, I could see them giving an implied valuation of £1 per share that was a new baseline for a higher eventual takeout by GLEN.
Such a half-way house arrangement would let weaker ZIOC shareholders cash out; give COIDIC/China some modest direct 'skin in the game' ; and allow GLEN to 'add value' in whatever ways (debt relief sweetener/marketing off-take/ technical/) it could..
Would I take the money and run or wait for a fuller recognition of the asset's value ?
I guess that would depend. But rather than deal in hypotheticals, I'd like to be given the choice !
Enjoy the weekend !
PS I've just learned that a 1/2 marathon I signed up for is apparently going to be held in a few weeks time.
I'm waaaaay behind on my training , so that's put a bit of a dampener on things for me atm and my weeks /weekends ahead are likely to be a bit more arduous than of late.
Two lbs weight gain per month in lockdown seems to be the average.....
