Tks for the reference. I see that SYME has put the copyright symbol after capitalised IM, but not a formal statement that they’ve actually copyrighted what is , after all, a pretty generic, descriptive term eg ‘cash conversion’ …
In what hasn’t been a content-rich period for material news from SYME, you’d expect them to have made a bit more of this, IMO.

It looks from a quick glance as though Cardo Albania is behind the sort of platform and systems that SYME has been talking about for some time.
It works, inter alia, with Azimut and Intesa San Paolo, as does SYME.
Its website shows that it addresses the SME finance sector, but no specific reference to IM.

This is in Guinea (ie a potential competitor to Simandou) and appears to have MIGA World Bank support..

With all due respect, .." I suspect the share price v figure ZIOC would want is a problem. .." is not the same issue as the question you posed ie 20p takeout vs a 6p market s/p.

I'm on record as saying that I believe that ZIOC's management would probably settle for less than many think, since they got most of their seed capital back at the time of the IPO via the concurrent Director/founder shareholder share sale.

OTOH , you posit that they might accept 10 to 15p (presumably instead of the 20p in prev scenario) if they had a 'kicker' in the form of a royalty arrangement......and I said why I don't that option would be on the table. I'd further add that ZIOC would probably want a 'clean break'...though GLEN might be more interested, given its 'other fish to fry' and iron ore trading activities.

Not clear why they might NEED to sell out cheaply, do you mean 'might want' ? In any case, if they offer to sell, GLEN has pre-emption rights. As to a 'royalty' , the Zanaga Project is a 'concession', if ZIOC/GLEN don't do anything material to advance the project, why should the Congo govt let them have a fee on production of iron ore that someone else finances
to make it possible ?

All roads lead (or not, as the case may be) past GLEN, AFAICS.

My understanding was that it was ZIOC management (as Project sponsors) that persuaded Xstrata (under Mick Davis) to buy into the concept by funding explo and feasibility studies.

GLEN's interest in Zanaga arose from its 'merger [with Xstrata] that switched into a takeover' - where the Dealer ( Ivan ) shafted the Digger (Mick) - that is the source/cause of any animus between those two parties.

AFAIAA, there's no particular bad blood between Elphick or AT and GLEN, per se, other than their reluctance to move forward on this project.

As for AT himself, he's been around a long time (maybe even back to when Xstrata first got involved ?) and he seems to be a 'useful pair of hands' /PA with a lot of relevant experience and / or contacts.

Apart from relevance to DIM and POLB, the article also gives some support for CF's contention of this area becoming a $ 250 billion market.....(OK, he may have got the detail wrong) :
