Aldebaran, I've certainly not followed Myles into anything and have been invested here over the years while he traded in and out of his position (nothing wrong with that btw). I value his research and his marketing of the company, but like everyone else he clearly posts (on here or on X) in order to support his positions (again nothing wrong with that).

I don't think we need to worry too much about exactly where this sits in Myles' portfolio. It's a £160m MCAP company and he has less than 3% of it (no TR-1), so what Myles and his "mates" (allegedly) do is unlikely to greatly impact the long term SP here. Anyone who has done their own research here (which is a large majority of us), has enough info to make up their own minds on where the SP is likely going long term, so thanks for your kind warning, but it's not needed from my perspective.

We've certainly got a lot of volume today. Not sure what to make of that trade Code, but there have been two chunky buys following it.

Another £77k buy from just before close reported just now. We clearly still have some big buyers interested.

I might stick my neck out and say we close closer to 50p than 45p. There has certainly been strong PI buying down here to partly counter the large seller, but what we also need is some large player to jump in with some big buys as well (though there may be some in the background yet to be reported).

Bonker, is your post suggestive that you are back on board the plane before lift off (and on this BB)?

A large seller, unless they know something we don't (though Mkango tends not to be leaky), is just an opportunity for anyone with conviction and a bit of patience.

Well who knows but the man himself. He certainly traded Avacta from what has been said in the past. Though it now being his biggest holding doesn't necessarily mean that he has offloaded any here. Anyway, all just speculation. There has been a large seller(s) this week, regardless of who they are. I'm sure that sentiment will change for the positive here in short order and we'll be back to talking about big buyers. All part of the game. Some big news this month would be nice.

Hi speedy, have been on the notification list from chard's for nearly a month, who are awaiting the arrival of new Britannia stock from the Royal Mint, but they still have nothing. I'm considering whether I should buy from their in-stock Minty coin collection (their choice of good condition pre-owned 1oz bullion coins e.g. American eagles, maple leafs, kangaroos etc) or wait for Britannias to come back in stock (who knows when!). Trying to work out if there is any issue with going for Minty coins in the absence of Britannias and would welcome your views on this. Thanks in advance!

I'm not on X so don't follow him there and he hasn't posted here for a little while, so I've got no sense of whether your supposition is true. He has previously denied selling here and was extremely bullish on Mkango very recently, taking part in the 30p raise. Would be good to hear his thoughts, but either way we will never know for sure who is buying and who is selling, other than through TR-1's.

With the US government shutdown in place I don't think there is much that they can update on regarding the SPAC. Someone mentioned that Cohen and Co still have it on their list, and the CrownProptech has continued to file its latest accounts with the SEC (part of the requirements for listing), so still looks to be going ahead. If the shutdown ends, and we don't get an update within a few weeks of this, then I would potentially start to think that something was a miss. But until then, I'm not worried about this possibility. Who knows, the timeline could even be impacted by discussions with the US DoW. I would think that Mkango will give us an update prior to Christmas either way.

There have been a lot of 50k and 25k sells this week, plus some at 30k, the new NMS. Hence my comment around a major holder (or holders) reducing their position or exiting. Not sure how many Bonker had, I think he suggested it was well over a million.

Strangler, the placing was clearly forward sold so I don't think it's someone from the placing exiting as they wouldn't have the shares, having forward sold them on the way down from 45p to 31p. That's how it has always worked on this share at least.

As Jimzi says, nothing has changed company-wise and therefore the price to value ratio is getting more and more attractive, so I will keep adding. 50 day MA at 47.9p, not sure if that has any relevance.

Violindog, agree that you can't leave it to last moment. I should have said that I don't think we would need to raise again until the end of March at the earliest, at which point we would still have a chunk in the bank, rather than I think we will have £0 in the bank by March and need to raise in January. Apologies for my lack of clarity.

That timeframe could be pushed out or the need for a raise negated by: warrants being exercised, revenue from UK and German plants and any sale of MKAR shares at the time of listing or afterwards (though personally I'm not expecting them to use this method to fund Mkango itself).

Strangler, the price got down to 49p on Wednesday last week and then spiked on RE sentiment and the potential for a G7 deal. So I disagree with your characterisation of the drop from 67p (it was actually 65p mid) to 47p this morning. The mechanism, from what I can tell, was a combination of the G7 spike unravelling, someone selling a reasonably large position, and MM's dropping us off the bat by up to 3p four times this week which has caused more fear. I don't think it has anything to do with a potential raise.

Cash burn is pretty low as our management take their remuneration in shares. Based on the average G&A expense over the last three years we are running at about $3.5m, so just under $0.9m a quarter (remember this is $'s not £'s). Other than some final investment in the German plant I don't think we've got much else to fund (not Songwe and not Hypromag USA).

There will be some cost involved in developing new partnerships in Japan, Korea and Canada, but this will just be negotiation related as our eventual partners are likely to foot the bill for actual development of those projects, as with Hypromag USA.

I'd say the cash runway is likely to get us to at least March of next year, by which time we should be earning proper revenue from both UK and German plants, and should have completed the SPAC listing. A future raise can never be ruled out, but I think this Board will have made sure they have a long enough runway from the last raise to allow them to deliver on all the near term prospects.

Anyway, hope Julian has something juicy to update us on by the 19th November. Would have thought that he would be unlikely to schedule an investor update if he had nothing new to say on his flagship project / investment. We shall see.

Can't see it personally given the fundraise we did in September. We've also had some more warrants exercised.

Unfortunately that kind of stuff is the price of SP success SG. If we reach £2+ in the next 12 months then I’ll not worry too much about all the spam that this brings with it! They set up their own website over at Greatland to avoid this issue, but I don’t think that’s necessary personally.

Not on X but that is a bit disappointing to hear. With big money at play we get the full range of human emotions and behaviour. Can’t really see how this board can be blamed for anything really. For perspective, we were down near 30p less than 50 days ago and we rose up to 72p (I don’t count the Canada induced fake out) and currently back down to 50p. A large part of the trading is now driven by RE sentiment and big players (including in the US), and Myles aside I don’t see this board having any major long term influence on the SP.

What it can do though is help PI’s get the large slice of the pie that they deserve, rather than being shaken out of their shares too early and too cheaply by those big players.

Fair enough Mrs Monteacute, though I have always posted when I top up on SP weakness and was just answering a question which was asked of me. I do agree that the buys/sells classification chat has been done to death and certainly wasn’t trying to instigate more chat of this nature.

I’m also afraid that if you were to look back through the chat on down days over the years, much of it would be about top ups, accusations of MM naughtiness and chat about buys being reported as sells. Such is the way of things and you’ll see it across this site. It’s just that we’ve been spoiled on this share for some time now with so many up days where sentiment has been positive, the board is busy and research and relevant chat have abounded.

For my part, I’m happy not to post my trades going forward and to refrain from calling out those mischievous MM’s in order to smarten up the board if others so wish.

SIT, I saw the price drop and looked at live buy and sell quotes. At the time could sell at 49.05p and buy at 48.99p as Jimzi said. I just did the buying part with 4,100 at 4.09pm, with the the trade showing as a sell on here.
