Bonker, I was on holiday so was dipping in and out, but from what I read there were no comments directed towards you that I would deem as vile. I did read many comments answering your questions / posts (which were bordering on the hysterical at times imo) with clear facts (as flundra’s post this morning did), which didn’t seem to reassure you. Your nervousness despite these clear factual explanations (for an experienced investor) seemed very OTT.

If you really want my view I agree with others that your behaviour was odd and smelt a bit like position posting. I may never know for sure, but I have seen you do it here before a few times over the years so it wouldn’t surprise me. Position posting isn’t a crime and you are welcome to do it, but your reaction to accusations of it was way over the top imo.

Many of your posts are valuable, but I disagree with your view that SG and others (perhaps including myself) are pros. I hope that we can all move on from this, but I’m not going to stay silent and accept accusations I don’t agree with.

As for silent majority agreeing, I’m not sure you can claim that. Your post with 13 likes mainly focusses on wanting more PR, expecting SPAC news soon and predicting a SP of 120p / 190p. I tend to find that big SP predictions get a lot of likes.

Anyway, that’s it for me on this topic. On to bigger and better things.

Not expecting PR in relation to the Nasdaq listing (before it happens) or confidential commercial or government negotiations. However, while your company trades on AIM and you still fundraise on AIM then promotion of your company is an important factor.

All of the resource sector investors I follow have ability/propensity of management to promote the company as one of the key factors on their investment analysis checklist. Unfortunately, that is still the game we are in. Hopefully soon we will no longer be, as we will have left AIM or not require further fundraises. But we are where we are. Anyway, good healthy debate.

Good post flundra, which lays out the facts and makes Bonker’s accusations look rather silly. My point on the PR side was wanting more of a fanfare around the opening of the Tyseley plant and then again the first magnets produced at Tyseley, particularly given the macro backdrop. I understand that there are a range of views on this which is normal, I don’t think it’s a massive point or a big criticism of management, for me it would be a nice to have and I see the failure to capitalise on those news events as missed opportunities. Will they make or break the company, no, but every little helps.

Btw Bonker, I was on holiday over half term and barely posted so wasn’t claiming to be aware of anything. I think you are making a mountain out of a mole hill personally, and it’s a shame that things have got so edgy because I always appreciated your views on here and your contributions to the board. Strangler, you are full of carp. As I said in my post last night there were many of us who were talking about the need for better PR a few weeks ago when we were a lot higher, this was in response to the Pensana news and Ed Conway’s coverage of it. I have also talked about better media coverage and PR many times in the past. My view on this is unchanged so stop trying to twist things to your agenda. You can read back through the posts if you actually want proof, though I doubt you do.

Bonker, I think your view that there are professionals on this board posting vile comments is frankly laughable. I’ve not said anything negative to you / about you, but that comment is very OTT. You got called out (rightly or wrongly) for position posting and you didn’t like it. Don’t try and turn it into something that it wasn’t with all this rubbish about pros.

We want to get this board back to being a good place to chat and share info, these two posts this morning are just stirring up carp and take us in the wrong direction.

Yep Biffa, this is what quite a few of us were saying the other week i.e. we should have had mainstream news articles and news features about first UK produced magnets in 20 years. Some on here suggested that this kind of coverage was not necessary but I disagree. We are a potential UK success story, in one of the hottest sectors globally right now. We have not taken advantage of this free marketing and imo we should have.

Looks like a bit of a reversal in sentiment as you say, with both back to approximately break even for the day after both being down as much as 12%. Should be good news for us on Monday.

USAR is up 7% which is its highest of the day, but yes I think from what I’ve listened to a lot of generalist resource investors in the US have been waiting for the RE stocks to cool off (from RSI’s in the 80’s) before taking positions. Based on the channels I listen to generalist resource investors are just starting to engage with this sector, so I think we’ve got a long way to go here. It may be that we should think of this as the end of the first phase of the RE bull market.

My wife is of an Indian background so at least she doesn't mind me buying gold! Her sister is a cash under the pillow kind of gal, so maybe I lucked out...

I see we had two big 150k buys at 8.22am and 8.25am this morning, certainly explains the drop... Oh, wait a minute!?

That reminds me, I was listening to a podcast on junior resources and one investor's strategy was that he picked when to buy the stocks and his wife picked when to sell the stocks. Apparently it was quite successful! On the other hand, if I had applied this strategy, I would own no Mkango shares by now and would have exited with a small gain (in relative terms) around the 10p level. My wife's risk appetite is not in the same universe as mine, but she does (wisely or unwisely) trust me.

Congrats to your son Biffa, you must be very proud. That is also a fantastic excuse. I hope they only play in the winter over there!

Mr M. I think there was apparently confirmation at an event that we had sold our first powder product, but that was from someone who watched the presentation live and we don't have any other first hand evidence or statement from the company (this was from a very good post about a month ago, so it would be worth that person reposting the info now if possible). It has also been confirmed by the company on LinkedIn that they have produced their first magnets from Tyesely, but again without any RNS, which I think is probably a mistake. I think we will get a few juicy stocking fillers before Christmas, so try not to worry too much about that.

Bought some sovereigns in the end and pleased with the purchase as gold looks like it may be making a substantial move above $4k in the last twenty minutes. Maybe profits taking / safe haven transfer from Nasdaq / tech stocks?

They've chucked in a UT for a whole 43 shares at 45.5p! Priceless... Will be interesting to see the after hours reported trades from this afternoon, there should certainly be some big sells based on the L2 / SP action I witnessed.

Pretty brutal week all in all, and we don't seem to have been helped this afternoon by the 2% drop in the Nasdaq and 13% increase in the Vix. But I have taken advantage of the drop (though needed to sell quite a few other positions to do so...) and I am confident that better things lie ahead. In the meantime I could do with a beer!

Last top up of the day for me in the 44's. Unfortunately my hunch on closing price doesn't look to have been correct. Let's hope for a better week next week, ideally accompanied by some positive company news.

USAR is down almost 60% from its high from four weeks ago. We are down about 37% since our high (I don't count the brief Canada induced spike) a few days later. We had the G7 run up this time last week as a reprieve, but in general have followed the RE sector which has taken a hit, particularly after the perceived US/China deal, which we all know has been over-embellished by Trump and co. The difference between USAR and us is that we were still massively undervalued at our high of 72p, whereas as they were massively overvalued at their high.

Sitiain, this is funny coming from MP who are one of the highest cost producers around and who have failed to make money for most of their history (under different names including Molycorp). You can see from Hypromag USA's feasibility study that we should make a lot of money at the RE prices at the time of the FS (near multi year lows) and even more money at both current and potential future prices (potentially supported by a floor price). So for me, this is not a worry.

RE prices and a potential US/EU/G7 floor price probably have more impact on the feasibility of Songwe, but I think it should wash its own face at current levels (we won't know for sure until they do a joint Songwe/Pulawy FS).

Where money is involved, things can get messy. I am an unvarnished bull (certainly over any time period of more than a few weeks) and people should read my posts in that vein. I try to be reasonably balanced in my posting, but my biases are still clear. I think you are wise to take everything you read here with a pinch of salt and that will stand you in good stead.

The company (as in other posters), is what it's all about for me, so let's accentuate the positive aspects of the board and try not to dwell too much on the negative aspects, which are probably unsurprising given all the volatility in the last few months and the fact that we are down c. 30% this week.
