Super sleuth strikes again! I don’t know how you do it Floyd. Another fantastic breadcrumb. We are really mixing it with the big boys. Don’t think it will be too long before we’re a billion £ company ourselves.

Whether or not there is an agreement / a 12 month delay in the implementation of the export controls, this really changes nothing. This whole debacle has exposed the US and Europe’s biggest strategic weakness when it comes to China and they will be doing everything in their power to address this weakness as soon as humanly possible. We will be one of the major beneficiaries.

No worries xviolet. The borrowing for the US plants would most likely be non-recourse financing / project financing which means the debt is borrowed against the asset and the related future project cashflows, with no recourse back to the parent company if something goes wrong and it’s not able to be repaid.

As Mkango, I think we are unlikely to be taking any risk / providing any material security against the debt. We will also not be putting any equity, regardless of whether we get the DoW grants, as it is Cotec’s responsibility to sort the funding.

The capex for the first US plant is somewhere in the $130m’s (you can look back through RNS’s to get exact figure). EXIM bank have given us a LoI for $92m of this as low cost debt (so less than 30% remaining to be funded from other sources). I imagine now that three plants are likely to get the go ahead we’ll be looking for similar from EXIM on the other two US plants, and we’ll be looking to secure the remainder of the funding through a mixture of DoW grants and offtake financing.

That’s one of the benefits of a strong BB / shareholder community Novice. I know I and others often get accused of being rampy, and it’s true that I sometimes times get a bit excited, but having been in the share for nearly 9.5 years since first investment at 3.2p, rather than ramping I would say it was more a case of having incredibly strong conviction in the company, the management, the business case and the macro story. To hold through a 10 or 15 bagger you need a lot of conviction and having others around who are extremely well researched and knowledgeable about the company makes this much easier.

There will come a time to sell the majority of my holding (which is just under half of Velcro’s by the sound of it), and that will be based on a combination of my retirement targets being hit and company milestones being hit. I’m sure most large holders will have an exit strategy in mind, including velcro, but I don’t think we are anywhere near that level yet. I think I’ll always keep a holding here though even after that point as it would be nice to be here until the end game, whatever form that takes.

It feels like T212 needs its own dedicated self help group on LSE. The price of commission free trading I guess. Though when I start to think about how much commission HL have made from me over the years I quickly stop thinking about it and put the thought aside!

We are in for a bumper run into Christmas, which I expect to also be very bumpy and volatile. But those still holding at Christmas may be able to afford some pretty fancy presents given the consensus here that we’ll be well above £1, and potentially closer to £1.50 or even £2. What a time to be a Mkango investor.

Just the yahoo finance one for MKA.V. Not many posts on there usually, but a fair few in the past two days.

Yeh their closing price was pretty similar to ours in the end. I checked out a chat board for MKA.V and the knowledge there is shocking. Just a load of Johnny come lately RE speculators who have no clue about the company. The exact same thing I’ve seen on the equivalent boards for USAR.

If this morning was anything to go by then it likely has a positive impact. They’ve had approaching a million traded over there, which is 7x their normal volume. We are in hot demand. Look at Canada and also look at all those big buys that showed up after hours here. We obviously have some sellers too, potentially warrant holders, but this demand for our shares is extremely encouraging, as is the volume.

This is the kind of thing that happens on OTC illiquid shares in the US, it’s not supposed to happen to shares on proper exchanges. There has to be something behind it though. At the very least it demonstrates strong interest from US buyers, which we have all said is a feature of the last couple of months.

Someone did pay $1.47 CAD (79p!) for Mkango shares you’re right. Strange things occurring. Not sure whether this is just noise or this is indicative of something happening in the background. But it can only be good for Monday open surely?

£4.78m traded today. A year ago that would have been over 30% of our market cap. Today it is just over 2% of our market cap. How far we have come, and how far we can yet go. Happy weekend all, after another epic Friday fly day.

I buy them on Hargreaves Lansdown which allows me to trade US and Canadian stocks, but unfortunately not Australian stocks. Cotec is listed on the TSX-V. I have never gone too deep into Cotec because I've got so much in Mkango already, and while the other technologies / investments they have look good, the main driver for Cotec's current share price is Hypromag USA, which we already have 40% exposure to here.

Nice Sigas. My first buy-in to Cotec was at 58 cents so it has done me very well. I believe it will be a billion dollar company like most of Julian's others.

Look at all those big trades coming through in the 100's and 200's, they mostly look like buys to me based on the prices at the time. Over 6.5m traded today and someone paid 79p for £50k at open... I imagine the chart looks a bit wild!

Yes and many more delayed reported trades rolling in, a mixture of big buys and sells. We may also be getting rid of some more warrants which would be positive. As someone said earlier, big volume is good news for us.

No doubt velcro, and I don't think they'll have that long to wait to be seeing blue. Anyone would be feeling like a bit of a muppet in that situation though.
