Thanks Velcro. Yeh I see that USAR was up heavily yesterday, but MP was only a few % and Pensana is down today. Perhaps USAR and Mkango are benefiting more from the talk of other deals being down by the US gov. Regardless, sentiment seems to be back with us and there has clearly been substantial buying interest in the background this morning.

Yes consolidation was needed, but the move this morning is massive, and clearly driven by some big buying, rather than just a gentle resumption of the upward trend. Look forward seeing to the delayed reported trades later. Glad I got all those top ups in the 50s.

9% up in first 40 minutes of trading. What do we think is behind this? News imminent, big buyer back in force, RE sector sentiment taking off again, or a combination of the above?

Metals such as neodymium are found in many everyday products and can hardly be replaced.

The problem: China controls and dominates almost the entire market and is increasingly using this power geopolitically.

One solution could be to recycle old rare earth magnets, but there are challenges here too.

At the HyProMag GmbH in Pforzheim, Carlo Burkhardt and his team are working on making the technology scalable.

How big is the problem? And are there ways out of dependency?

Really motoring now, 58p bid / 59p ask.

I’d put it at over 50% chance, but if we haven’t had an update by the end of this month I’d say the probability slips below 50%. Could be lots of factors in play, such as a potential role for the US DoD, which could be complicating things / lengthening timelines.

Great start to today, they actually opened her up and we clearly have some chunky buys in the background.

2 x 100k buys delayed reported from this afternoon. There are still big buyers about.

Agree magic and S&S, was watching L2 at various points in the day and we certainly had some decent size buys in the background, without much selling. It did feel like it may have turned a corner, but we'll see what tomorrow brings. Hopefully some juicy news!

We get at least one post here a week on how rubbish T212 is at filling orders. Unfortunately for users, it seems you get what you pay for. Probably only makes sense to use it for main market / US shares.

Recovering a bit now with 54p bid and 56p ask. MM's opened her down at 55p bid and 58p ask, so we're not too far off where we opened.

Anyone else having issues getting online with Hargreaves Lansdown? I'm having to use the app to trade as I can't log on to my account on the web version. I assume it's linked to the AWS outage.

We didn't hold the 20 day MA last time because there was a placing that was known about by some and being forward sold / traded. Let's see how we go this time. I have also joined others in averaging up this morning.

It will look like we are opening down due to the UT at 58p at Friday close. Hoping for a positive week and potentially some news.

Great work biffa, I was one of the 5,000 people as a business contact from Centrica who works at Saltend had liked Ed's post on LinkedIn, so I scrolled down and saw (what I assume was) your comment.

A lot of LinkedIn talking heads in the investment space have been mentioning rare earths recently, most of which have thousands of followers. So mentions of Mkango in response to their posts about RE will definitely help raise the company profile and bring it to a wider potential investor audience. I hope Mkango take advantage when we open our German pant this quarter.

That’s why Floyd’s find was so remarkable SG as there was no mention of JT or Cotec, he was just in the pic sitting beside JPM top brass. Floyd must have incorporated facial recognition tech in his search!
