They are only reported as unknown because they have been delayed reported by the MM's, and LSE's algorithm (which doesn't work that well with live trades sometimes anyway) doesn't classify delayed trades as buys or sells. In other words, them being classified as unknown should be completely irrelevant to you, me and everyone else.

What the massive trades signify is significant institutional and HNW investor interest in this share and far from spooking the market, they tell us that we have really arrived in the big boys market. The market that is not driven by LSE BB's, rumours and PI anxiety. This is the time that PI's dream of, where institutions who are relatively price inelastic once they make a decision to invest, build big positions in the share and drive the SP inexorably on to new heights.

The timing of the buys suggest that these institutional and HNW investors are from the US and over the past few weeks we have seen this pattern of increased interest / buying as the US market opens at 2.30pm. I imagine that Cohen and Co have been marketing MKAR to their clients ahead of the listing and some big fish have decided that they would also like a slice of Mkango. Why wouldn't you when we are valued substantially below the indicative valuation of MKAR, and when we also have an incredibly exciting recycling business.

If I was a US institutional or HNW investor who wanted to jump into rare earths based on the narrative right now, and Cohen and Co had approached me, I would be thanking my lucky stars that there was a company like Mkango that I could invest in so cheaply when compared to the pretty unappetising price to value rare earth opportunities in the US e.g. USAR and MP.

Most of the large trades from today are buys, which is reflected in the fact that we are up over 6%, but there are clearly some big sells too. Could be the likes of Stewart Newton further trimming their position or some warrants being cashed in, regardless the SP mopped them up easily. I expect we will eventually get some holding RNS's from major new investors over the next couple of months. This is the time to be excited and happy shareinthis, enjoy the moment.

Back in front of the computer now. The value traded today (could be more delayed trades reported tomorrow) was £6.97m, from just over just over 10m shares traded at a VWAP of 69.62p. Crazy stuff. Wonder what tomorrow will bring?

Hamster, when you multiply by VWAP to get the total value of the trades, today is by far the highest value traded in Mkango’s history. As I said, we’re in the big leagues now. With those whoppers reported after hours we see what was behind the 3p increase in the bid within five minutes of US market open. We are firmly on the radar.

Time for us all take a step back and think about the magnitude of what the management have achieved in the last 14 months and pat ourselves on the back for having the conviction to stay the course and believe in them / the company / the RE narrative when things didn’t look quite so rosy.

Unfortunately there are no real rules Magic. They can do what they like and will report what suits them. No matter though, the freight train is still running at speed down the track.

Reported volume so far is well over 5m, to go with nearly 7m yesterday. I'm expecting another million at least to turn up after hours.

This is really in play and gone are the days that anyone posting on this BB is likely to have any material influence on the SP (possibly Myles aside). That makes me happy, it's like Mkango has grown up and is starting to act like a main market share, rather than an AIM minnow.

Yeh that's the longstop in terms of them having to get new votes/permissions, but as posted yesterday by Floyd, the latest we have from the company is targeting Q4. If they do delay it I can only think it's because they have US government money incoming.

Cotec is up 31%, HL don't update their prices for Canadian share off the bat, there is a delay. I use yahoo finance for US/Canadian live prices.

We're currently up about 22% over the past two days, so not far behind Cotec (Canadian markets were closed yesterday).

Fair play Fevertreeman, agree that most people should take some off the table at various points along the journey that suit them, which will be different for every individual.

Still disagree on the luck point, in my view it was the management team's hard work and great foresight to start early that got Mkango's projects into a position where they could benefit from the macro of the past 6-9 months. Regardless, the company. and we as investors, are in the right place at the right time, whether through luck or foresight, I'm not complaining!

Ok thanks for the substantive response Fevertreeman. It sounds like your thinking is similar now to then. In that case, I'm surprised you haven't sold more of your position given we are double the market cap that you said made us highly overvalued. I take your point about the dancefloor though.

I do think it would be a little unfair to lump us in with the with the hype / overvaluation of by US investors of companies like USAR and MP. While we have benefitted from some of the rare earth euphoria over the pond, many on here, including myself have done bottom up risk adjusted calculations which get us to many multiples of the current share price. I think you are potentially overplaying the level of uncertainty here, yes there is some, but if there wasn't we would have a market cap in the billions right now.

I think you are also doing Will and Alex a disservice by calling them lucky. They, like many investors in Mkango, spotted this issue over 10 years ago, and saw it's inevitability regardless of who was sitting in the Oval Office (see Daniel Mamadou-Blanco's post). Bonker and I have been talking about a second Trump term and its implications on this BB for the past few years. Management (and some investors) saw it coming and they positioned the company to take advantage, that is not luck.

I agree that we should strike while the iron is hot in terms of Nasdaq listing. At the same time I don't think our position is quite as precarious as your post would suggest. Whether the US markets roll over or not, the issue of rare earth supply chains is not going away, and I do absolutely believe in Mkango's ability to be a big part of the solution.

Thanks for the insight Fevertreeman. I imagine that the MCAP for the Mkango Group would be well north of $1bn on listing, so perhaps the liquidity issues wouldn't be as severe.

How are you feeling about the current valuation? I noted that on 1st September at 35p you were cautioning people about the SP potentially having too much future progress built into it. Has the macro picture or company news changed this in your opinion, or do you feel this is even more the case now we are double the value we were then?

I'd support a dual listing for Mkango Group, London and Nasdaq. Get rid of Canadian listing which adds no value. We were on the TSX-V (Toronto Stock Exchange - Venture) because we were a mining stock back in the day, now the mining and refining business will be on the Nasdaq so no need for the TSX-V. London because I have a preference for holding my shares in £'s and because we are a British company at heart, and Nasdaq for the valuation read across.

I also left a comment. Didn't make it too rampy, but keen to get new eyes on the company. It was a good report by Sky, but if they had really done their research a trip toa newly opened Tyseley would have shown that we have a solution to some of these issues, born out of British ingenuity. That really would have rounded off the report well.

Now at 70p on the bid. The 60’s didn’t take us long! News into this environment would turn this rise even more parabolic.

Back to 68p bid, this is a paradigm shift for this share. The MM’s aren’t able to control the SP quite like they used to. It feels like we have crossed over into the big leagues and serious players are taking positions. Looking forward to an eventual RNS to see who they are.

Remember the start of last week where some people were saying that we would need news to break through 50p and I suggested that I disagreed as it felt different this time. Well, no RNS has come (other than admin related) and we’re at 70p on the ask, that’s how quickly things can change. Instead we’ve been driven up 20p by macro and sentiment alone.
