Mkango Resources Ltd. (LON:MKA)(CVE:MKA) has appointed Tim Slater as interim chief financial officer.

Slater is currently managing director of Harmer Slater which provides CFO, accounting and regulatory compliance to Aim and Toronto Stock Exchange-listed companies. He has previously served as interim CFO for several Aim and Venture Exchange-listed companies.

He has over 10 years' experience in the mining and manufacturing sectors with responsibility for business plans, budgetary control, audits, forecasting and International Financial Reporting Standards and their application to multi-national groups.

"We are delighted that Tim has joined us for the next exciting phase of our development,” said Mkango President Alexander Lemon.

“We are building a team that will enable Mkango to fulfil the undoubted potential of our asset base and to further grow Mkango Resources."

Each to their own. We've had the c. 1.6m in two sells. We've pretty much mopped those shares up. There may be some more selling, but from the auction action there are definitely willing buyers in size in the low 50's. I will continue to find ways to free up cash and top up if we head lower. Treating this as an opportunity, whatever the short term direction.

At least this latest drop has convinced Berenberg to come back on the bid for the first time in ages... Very small top up for me just under 52p.

The evidence of the past 10 years of Chinese New Years is that on average prices show a slight increase during the holiday week. It may be different this year, but I think anyone trying to tell people anything definitive on X or elsewhere is just talking carp. Based on prior years, it may be that after New Years, with Chinese markets open again on Tuesday 24th, we see a strong period for precious metals.

Good old LSE always likes to find the perfect time for delaying the live trades. God knows why I bother paying for this service.

More strange SP action going on here. Dropped the bid 2p in the space of two minutes. Must go and release some funds from elsewhere.

Magic, I think you may be looking at delayed figures, the S&P and Nasdaq are both up at the moment.

Didn't last long. Another silver slam shortly after US open, becoming pretty common these days. Gold fallen back, but not as much.

No doubt speedy, it's all very political, especially ahead of the mid terms. But the key is that, whether bogus or not, this CPI print makes it more likely that there will be more rate cuts this year than the market was pricing.

Well called Element (by way of Hedgeye I assume). If you were talking about all items earlier then it's actually a bit lower than you mentioned, but if you were referring to just core then you were spot on with 2.5% call.

I don't necessarily think this is about a raise. But even if they did, a raise at 50p for £3m is just 6m shares or less than 2% dilution. Should anyone really be worried about that? We have dropped 11% from yesterday's high of 60p. I'm not at all worried about a potential <2% dilution...

Yes, Berenberg and Investec have swapped a few times now. Seems magnetised to this 53/54p area. Still little / no selling reported other than the delayed whoppers from yesterday. We should be nearly square on those two. Interesting times.
