I get the feeling some holders will have been playing elsewhere with funds while this has been consolidating. There have been plenty of opportunities in the metals and critical minerals space recently. Once the momentum kicks off here they may be moving funds back in.

Well, 60p on the ask now, up 6.4%. The sentiment this morning has changed all of a sudden. Why not 70p...?

Agree with that velcro. I guess my point is that everyone who is comfortable investing with current risk parameters is already invested. It was, imo, sustained American interest which helped fuel the rise up to low 70's and I see a similar thing happening post news.

There are plenty on the sidelines as you say, and they want to have either confirmation of the MKAR SPAC, confirmation of Hypromag USA FID, or commercial proof of concept at scale for the recycling business i.e. Tyseley and Pforzheim substantive revenues and identity of major offtakers. I have no doubt that we will be rewarded for our higher risk tolerance and I think at least £1 by end of April is my base case, but with further big upside potential.

I'm not really that surprised by the lack of volume because as Jimzi says, we are all fully loaded. We need a new / wider investor base, including further ETF's, funds and other institutional investors (Sprott was a good start). While I'd love to be consolidating in the 60's / 70's, next big news can easily take us to 100's from here as Myles says. At least the underlying increase in Neodymium price has meant that rather than drifting on delays / no news, we have recovered from low 40's at the beginning of December, to consolidate in the 50's. I plan to add more here when I can make funds available.

Haha, decided to have a dry February, so they can save the champagne money... anyway, wouldn't want to be the reason for a new equity raise! I've got a nice bottle squirrelled away for when there's actually something to celebrate on the Mkango front, and if it's this month I'll be happy to fall off the wagon for it. As for the fridge magnets, I'm picturing my daughter throwing a kilo of NdFeB powder at the fridge and seeing what happens.

Joking aside though, I would love to go and visit Tyseley one day, though probably not for £495. I'd also like to go to a shareholder meeting, if they ever do one. Would be good to see what all these years have been about at the plant visit, and to thank the guys at a shareholder meeting for what have, to date, been life changing sums of money.

Funny that we then get Q1 results within a month of the year end results. The Tyseley revenues within the Q1 results should be interesting.

Yes it’s interesting that they don’t release separate Q4 results and instead publish full audited results at the start of May. So we aren’t due any regular update for nearly three months.

Some interesting potential insights in there Fretblanket and I agree with the general theme. But I think it also shows that AI misses quite a bit of context and joins up things that it shouldn’t e.g. talking about needing to sequence the different elements of the business (recycling and MKAR) carefully when they are largely independent projects. Sorting recycling imo would not have a material impact on the finaceability of Songwe and Pulawy as AI seems to think. Also the idea that having Cotec as a JV partner may mean decisions are based on economics rather than narrative is imo wrong, as we know JT is a lot less cautious than Will and Alex.

But yes, I agree with the general theme that commercial proof of concept e.g. offtake agreements, proof of revenues at scale, further customer validation of product is something the market is looking for. What AI seems to miss though is that we already have plans to expand Tyseley and Germany (and move to 3 plants in US sooner), which while not providing direct proof of offtake, customer acceptance etc., suggests that they must be confident enough that the demand is there. Our frustration is that they haven’t provided us with the direct evidence of this. If they did, I think the SP would react accordingly.

Think that's a glitch on the LSE site. Saw someone else mention this on the Greatland chat board. I can see plenty of transactions post 2.25pm. Not sure if that's just because I have paid for L2/live prices. But regardless, ignore as it seems to just be a glitch.

I think that if news wasn't overdue we probably would be reacting to today's developments a bit more, but it feels like we are refusing to budge in any kind of major way until we get our own news. Will and Alex, pictured in front of the White House, with big grins on their faces (unusual for Will...), imo gives a high probability that Altona aren't the only ones who will get good news.

Benchmark source their own data by talking to a range of suppliers and offtakers, so there may be a bit of a difference from prices seen elsewhere.
