Lb, that's the very reason we shareholders need to view the contents of this letter. We can then determine if Kurt is simply doing more of the same, which has not been effective to date, or if he's adopted a harder approach in order to force a decision.

As you may remember from my posts last year, I've never been too pleased that Kurt and Göran accepted the election may delay the decision. This licence matter could and should have been sorted out long before the election, in my opinion, and now look where we are. Still with nothing concrete by way of any timeline for receipt of the decision. Only the almost unbelievable timeline that has lapsed without such decision.

No, it isn't good enough.

Sorry to everyone for joking, but we are definitely having our good faith tested, not only our patience and not only by the Swedes. I just hope Kurt can do something now, as he'll surely otherwise be close to falling into the same category as the bureaucrats, if he doesn't take appropriate steps to effect this decision, should we still be in receipt of the cold shoulder, without a timescale given for the conclusion of our case.

Only my take on it, with our situation remaining the same, as I type this today.

Yes Bricktop. The contents of the letter are so important, at this stage. Shareholders cannot and should not be expected to remain floundering indefinitely without any clue as to when progress will be made on our main project. Otherwise it eventually ceases to be an investment. In my opinion.

We don't know the potential fruition timescales for Finland or Kosovo either, but at this rate Kallak will be overtaken even by them and it will become our third project.

Treetop, maybe so. Priority hasn't actually been given to us really has it? Yes, I wouldn't be at all surprised if something else was in the offing to be used as a tactic for delaying the decision further. I'm interested to see exactly what Kurt has written in his letter to Baylan. Almost October and priority supposedly given in April, with still no timescale offered to BEM by the Government, amounts to wholly unacceptable behaviour, as a minimum.

At this point, based on our Company's treatment, and on what we officially know, I'd be happy for Kurt to go for the jugular. This is a diabolical state of affairs, but a state only that existing shareholders have been paying for year on year, with dilution of our investments and no progress whatsoever on our flagship project.

The Swedish Government has in no way sought to deal even-handedly with, and hence help protect the wellbeing of BEM, an international private investor. Tut tut. We have every right to feel aggrieved. Legal action to be avoided though? Perhaps. If Baylan can read between the lines of the last RNS. Lol.

Taken from the 19 September RNS:

"Last week, the CEO met with advisors, including legal advisors, and the new CEO at SveMin (the Swedish mining industry association). The Company understands that the Government and its ministers have discussed Kallak in recent weeks. The CEO has now written to Mr. Baylan requesting a meeting."

I feel to specifically mention legal advisors is quite telling. Hopefully Baylan will pick up on this, if it isn't in the letter.

From our long, arduous experience here, we also know this. It seems the norm in Sweden is that every person and his or her dog seems freely able to obtain almost any information from the authorities, before even we find out about it, lol, which is a different approach from the protocols in effect in UK business practice. Kurt must therefore be confident that the Government will be sharing the contents of his letter, with all and sundry.

On a positive note, everyone, including Baylan, now also knows that Kurt has recently met with his legal advisors.

Fair comment, but Kurt will not withhold the contents of this letter indefinitely from shareholders. Look at it that way LB. He is well within his right to publish the contents at any time, but is adopting good business etiquette.

Kurt did not tell us whether he has reminded Baylan that nobody, including the CAB, has been able to state specifically where our application is defective.

We need to see the actual contents of Kurt's letter, which we will do shortly, to get a truer picture. I'm naturally trusting that Kurt has been a bit more robust with Baylan than he appears to have been going from the RNS. I also hope that he's mentioned the fact that priority was supposed to have been given to our case, which is now over five months ago and counting. He should be really going to town on this.

Did Göran ever receive a reply to his letter? We've not heard anything further about that either have we? From memory.

The treatment of our Company continues to be inexcusable.

Good posts. The problem is that each judgement, it seems, is surely being taken on an individual only basis, per case. Our application content was in keeping with the Norra Karr ruling, the MI I think confirmed that, yet we are still waiting for a decision on our licence. This latest ruling, while welcome news for those specific parties affected, may not then be used by the Government as a precedent in our favour. Taking Norra as the example of such not happening prior for us, and the additional hoop-jumping we've undertaken, rightly or wrongly, since.

Only my thoughts, and those thoughts are precisely because I can see no excuses whatsoever, based on the information supplied to shareholders, for this continued delay by the Government.

Kurt was apparently meeting with our advisors, as he mentioned in the last BRR Media interview, so I'll be expecting an update before long on just what the hell is going on, and, moreover, what, if anything, he needs to do next.

I do agree with you insofar as it also appears to me that the Swedes have not prioritised our application at all. Hence almost these five months of further waiting (since priority given) added to the already deplorable six years without a conclusive decision. Only pass the parcel.

If we now drift into October without the decision, I'll be wanting Kurt to tell us where we are up to and what he intends to do about this situation.

Nearly five months since we were informed of the Government giving priority to our application. I feel it is now appropriate that Kurt finds out the state of play with our case, including what the priority actually means in terms of further time delay, emphasising that it is wholly unacceptable not to still be given even a loose timeframe for the supposed priority and conclusion of this matter.

Now then. Although I wouldn't be at all surprised, our application, it having spent some six years and nearly five months being passed and further passed around the various governmental authorities, should not now be suddenly caught by any new legislation that may be brought in to tighten or streamline the process. Our application is apparently sound, environmentally so, under existing rules, and it must be dealt with accordingly under those rules. If it isn't, that surely can be yet more kindling, a whole lot of kindling, for a potential Swedish bonfire.

Aye, that RNS was tiny kindling Aug, but kindling nonetheless. Not to be taken in isolation, but added to all the other kindling we've amassed over the last six years and almost five months of waiting. Deviation from process by the CAB my personal favourite. Lol.
