Gambier, good points. I did also mention those jobs that would not be created in Jokkmokk and the wider, also the loss of taxes generated by said jobs. It all adds to a no decision being bad politically. The area would begin to thrive with a yes to the concession. Otherwise the Government would be depriving voting Swedes of a better standard of living and a no would continue only to force more locals out of their own community to hunt for jobs elsewhere. The Sami folks obviously not bothered enough about the dismantling of the lives of fellow Swedes who badly need work and whose options are limited in the region without Kal being mined. It is a concerning time for shareholders, but it is only because of the nine year hitch. The law is enough Gambier, and that is absolute. Gambier, it could be said that he will have then bypassed upholding the Government law in terms our meriting the award based on criteria set by them. The KU also confirming the Government negligence and lies in respect of dealing with our application. We may have a strong case against the Government, don't you think? Our case legally meriting a concession, not being given one for almost nine years, with the despicable treatment we've endured, to say no now, would be political suicide. We would have to follow up on it, and in the meantime those vital jobs for Jokkmokk and area still won't have been created, nor taxes generated. Importing dirty ore when you have pure product at home, premium, that's madness. A no then, both political and legal suicide. In my opinion, but then again, we can't predict what will happen, only what absolutely should and must happen. Lol.

I thought the Sami argument was strong. We did have our ANI awarded before theirs though, and they are making it sound as if our tiny operational area will be like a block on virtually everything they do and what they stand for. Top and bottom is that they don't want to share the land, even though they don't own it. They only use it. Their culture is important, absolutely agree, but they don't seem to care about anyone other than themselves, which I don't like. Anyway, I hope it won't have any real influence on the decision, and as far as we know our application would pass a judicial review and stand firm in meriting the concession. But I didn't enjoy reading that Sami argument. I've had enough of it all, being honest. I'm trusting Kurt will be on the ball. The Sami saying that we hadn't reported all the effects on reindeer husbandry and the wider for the Sami, p'ed me right off. A lot of what is said is generalisation, with the tone of not ever willing to compromise. I hope K-P has the bottle, because surely we will be in line for massive compensation if not. In my view. Just saying.

Aug, good point. Should they perhaps concede that the concession must and will be granted, the law being final, then the next natural defence is perhaps to attempt to add anything they can to try and make the project stall for as long as possible. As we know, wholly unacceptable, and, of course, not for the greater good.
