I'm wondering if Mr Leben is going to end up in court, and then possibly jail.
As far as AST is concerned we need the Environment agency ARSO (that Jure was overseeing, and seemingly stopping from issuing permits) to issue the permits soon.
It seems amazing that Jure resigned just as Jeromy Hunt visits Slovenia, and mentions Ascent........

The truth hurts. People here are desperate for any good news. They know the score, for the most part. The CEO paints a not too gloomy picture but the real picture is dire as we all know. Colin talks the share up knowing this. Thus I do not trust him at all. You do what you want.

The question is does Colin really believe that. Frankly I think he is either lying or is a very very optimistic. I mean come on! Who really thinks leben is going to let a permit for fracking any well in Slovenia through? Get real. he won't have much to say. There will be maybe 20 people there. He will say they have found some promising investments outside Slovenia. He may say the permits are in the system and he hopes they will arrive in due course. Joke.

I believe the one well is no longer commercially viable but Colin is to soft to moth ball it, upset the employees and Jure Leben. Jure Leben and the Environment ministry ARSO have, by delaying the permits continually, ruined Ascents gas field commerciality. In effect they are destroying Ascents business in Slovenia. In fact they are months away from killing it stone dead IMHO. Colin does not seem to have any idea how to deal with this so he's swanning around eastern Europe looking for more investment opertunities!!!!!! Erm.... we have little money. It will be back the new investment in Croatia or we go under IMHO. We will see if I'm right. It's a total disgrace.

The need to lay off all the staff in Slovenia, moth ball the lot and BLAME ARSO and JURE Leben. Wht.... because it's THEIR FAULT!!!! It will happen eventually anyway as the money is going out the door. Do it NOW, before the Company is down to it's last few quid!
What I see is Colin coming back to share holders with some investment opertunity, saying the Company needs £5m and saying if not the Co goes bust. Great. Colin's too soft.

Look at the facts. I have some shares in AST but the situation is dire.
One well that is probably not even covering the overheads so bank balance diminishing every day.
No permits for any future fracking which are desperately needed. Permits seem to be unlikely to arrive considering Jure leben is overseeing!
Could not raise enough money to buy anything worth while due to share price and terrible track record.
Only way forward (moth balling well and laying off staff) not happening because Colin and board are too soft.
Result. Ascent drifts ever closer to the end.

This "Rovo" bunch, as far as I can see are just extremist trouble makers. Forget investing in Slovenia is the message this sends out. On the good side I shoiuld think most Slovenians will see it the way I do and want Leben out ASAP.

I say again the only logical way that MIGHT get the permits is if all operations in Slovenia are moth balled, and the Slovenian Environment Miniustry plus Jure Leben, the minister are blamed for the job losses. It is their fault that Ascent are in the mess they are in. To me it is obvious. Ascent desperately need the fracking permits. Ascent will run out oif money without them. I would say to Colin if he has a better idea please let us know. Waiting for the axe to fall is stupid.

No-one over ruled anyone.
The objectors changed their minds when all the people who were going to work there got a tad upset. Also the Government agreed to change a law which no-one seems to know what it is about.
So the objectors could have delayed the Magna plant another 6 months at least if they wanted to.
Thus Slovenia is still an extremely risky place to invest. Stadium renovation permit 10 years and counting.

The Slovenian Environment ministry have still not issued Ascent with any permits.
The IPPC permit (permission to build a gas processing unit in Slovenia) has taken now over 5 years. No sign of it arriving. Note the permit another Co. needs to renervate a stadium over there has taken over 10 years SO FAR.
The other 2 permits (to frack the wells) Ascent DESPERATELY need have been in their system for 5 or 6 months. They may never arrive as the process is controversial. Jure Leben has already delayed these by his own actions. Without these permits Ascents gas field will simply have to shut down. Ascent are IMHO losing money every day at the moment. Eventually it willl run out.
The bottom line is without the fracking permits Ascent wil run out of money. Simple as.
I have told Colin my view is we lay off all the workers, moth ball the whole lot and blame ARSO and Jure Leben via the media out there. That is the only way anything might change IMHO. Colin I think just wants a quiet life (drawing his wages) until the finds run out and Ascent goes under. I think he has plans for the future and they don't involve Ascent, as Ascent won't be around any more.
Anyone who thinks any permits are going to arrive at Ascent from ARSO with Jure Leben overseeing them are frankly very, very stupid.
I hold a minimum amout of shares and have written them off.
