Made back some of the money I was down. Personally I would not get too excited until the 15 day appeal window has closed. How anyone would even be allowed to appeal is beyond me considering the what....... 5 year wait with all the frigging appeals and rulings etc... JOKE!!! However in Slovenia stranger things HAVE happened so don't count your chickens! Last time in 2016 AST got the permit it was revoked............ according to AST illegally. Say no more!!! So do the Slovenian Government follow their own rules and laws??? Hmm......... I'd say no. Says it all.

9th March to 23rd is 15 days, which is today, Saturday. Presumably they submitted the appeal on Friday, but why no RNS?

When Intra-day RNS's come out you will find immediately you can't buy/sell for a few minutes. I believe this is because the mm's want to make a judgement on the news. If they think positive they will charge, say in AST's case 10% and see how it goes. If they get that easy and many buys come in they will put the price up more. The reverse for negative news. Occasionally they mis-judge the news, but that ir quite rare as they know what they are doing more than most.
That is the way I think it works.

On the good side IF Ascent ever do take them to the EU court I have a feeling they would loose bigtime eventually. Using the Slovenian courts to enforce their rules/laws to date has proven a waste of time. Something else potential investors in Slovenia will be very concerned about.

Energy security? LOL! ARSO have spent about FIVE YEARS deciding whether they can allow a gas processing plant in Slovenia. The way they carry on is quite unbelievable. Is it 70% or so of Slovenias gas comes from Russia.. Clearly their politicians just say whatever they think whoever is listening wants to hear. Luckily you don't have to do much research to find out that investing there is a good way to loose money fast.

This is what I have already pointed out to her via an email to the British Embassy in Slovenia. Basically I said do you warn potential investors in Slovenia about permits that take more than 10 years etc... 'cos if you don't you are letting the UK down. It is clearly an extremely high risk Country to invest in. *** AVOID ***.

It has already been confirmed a full Environmental Inpact assessment is not needed for the IPPC permit (the one that gives permission to build the gas processing plant we don't need at the moment and can't afford......... LOL). In fact as things stand we won't need it for about 18 months even if we get the permits to stimulate the existing wells and they produce incredibly large productiuon numbers. What a mess!

The Board of Ascent is pleased to announce that it has been informed by the Environment Agency in Slovenia that the partners in the Petišovci project will not be required to carry out a full environmental impact assessment ("EIA") prior to the award of an IPPC Permit ("the Permit") to install a new processing facility at Petišovci.

If they did say it is now needed it would make the permitting process in Slovenia even more of a complete disgrace than it alreay is. They should award Ascent all the permits and appologise for the ridiculous delay.
Bottom line is AST have the time to do the assessment if needed! The only thing the IPPC permit would do is increase the sp. This is because the permission to build in itself would add considerable valuye to the gas field. I mean has, or will anyone EVER go through this complete and utter nightmare "process" to get an IPPC permit in Slovenia?

That has made my week. His tweet last year cost me a load of cash, same as many others. His previous claim for a particular qualification proven untrue (a year or so ago) for which he offered his resignation which as that time declimed by the pm. Followed by recent accusations of bias regarding a Government contract resulting in his reignation being accepted this time I think his future in politics is ruined, which is good! Just wish he would re-inburse me!

Hello, Presumably they will be telling him there is zero chance of anyone investong in Slovenia with permits to build taking sometimes in excess of TEN YEARS and a Government that seems to be heavily influenced by Environmental activists? This is the truth after all.

To be honest I know not which! We have waited 5 years for the IPPC license and Jure Leben stopped it being issued. Now he has reswigned and is being investigated.....................
