WTI now $65.33. Trump did say they would retaliate8 Jan 2020 00:28
did he not? So one assumes this bad situation will send the price of oil up more. OK I'm not happy people may be being hurt/killed but it has zero to do with me. However it is likely PMO's sp will go further North tomorrow as it looks extremely likely the price of oil will be up substancially. $2 to $6 I would have thought. And that may just be for starters. Fill your car tanks up before petrol/diesel goes up! All IMHO.
That de-ramping article in the Telegraph yesterday >>7 Jan 2020 21:30
yesterday was highly suspicious, was it not? I thought it was written to frighten investors out of PMO (insinuating they were struggling to re-finance!!! LOL!). Of course the sp had risen a lot after the Iran assassination and so anyone short would have been under pressure. wanting the sp to drop back (hello Telegraph??). Oh dear. So now we have the good news today sending the sp up 16% more. Oh dear oh dear oh dear! But anyone STILL short (not got out already badly burned) may get proper incinerated if Iran retaliates sending the oil price and thus PMO shares through the roof! I won't be losing any sleep about it. All IMHO.

nicktheglobe. I agree with you entirely. I bet any recent shorters can't believe their bad luck with the crisis in Iraq only happening the other day no doubt after they had taken positions!!!! One would think that they are currently wondering how high the price of oil might go and how much money their "investment" might loose. Iran has said there will be severe retribution or words to that effect, so I can't see them NOT taking some severe action against the USA. If they don't do something then their words would have been empty. They are not the sort of people to loose face as we call it. Seems to me they will do something big to retaliate and therefore I can only see the price of oil rising. I thing brent crude will be over $80 in a week or so and will take PMO shares with it. I don't want this to escalate into a war but the odds are, as things stand that it could well do. I think Iran will do something and then the USA will hit some or all of those 53 sites Trump tweeted about. Frankly this seems very likely from where I am sitting. All IMHO.

I'm amazed the USA has taken so long to say they "think"17 Sep 2019 22:25
the drones were launched in Iran. I was under the impression they have equipment that keeps an eagle eye on all goings on over there. Clearly NOT!!! Plus how in the World did anyone manage to send drones into Saudis biggest oil facilities that are supposed to be heavily protected. It's astonishing to me. I am extremely surprised.
