No secret there were some large short positions in PMO. The Saudi attack no doubt caused most shorters to close (buy back in) in case another attack sent the oil price through the roof.

the last few EIA and API reports were showing very large oil stock drawers in the USA I think $80 or more is on the cards.
Also is this a first attack? Clearly whoever did it is likely to be able to follow up with more. Plus will the USA do anything here, further raising tensions?

What is that compared to Wolrd oil demand? 0.0001%??? Oh and by the way the Hurricane's predicted course as of a few hours ago has changed so it stays off shore and moves North towards Georgia.

I am surprised the two 10m plus (API & EIA) reports last week did not make the oil price go up more. Is it not possible the market has under estimated the effect of missing Iran oil and missing Venezuelan oil? We will see.

I would have thought a category 4 Hurricane could affect Gulf oil rigs plus residents in the path may want, or be ordered to leave their houses and move to safe areas. I doubt they will all walk.

I am astonished Brent crude is still only $61, and on the DailyFx site the "outlook" for crude oil prices is still shown as "bearish", AND it shows 53% of clients SHORT !!!!!!!!!!
