The logical way forward for China, it seems to me is clear.
They can't keep the millions of people in those cities away from work for much longer. Apart from anything else food will start to run out (no farming, food processing, food distribution etc. at the moment). However they also can't afford to have the people on those cities moving around the rest of China and indeed the World.
It's obvious. You tell the people in the cities they will have to stay in the cities until the threat is over. So un til either a vaccine is being administered or for some reason (mutation or whatever) the virus becomes less of a problem. They can go to work and go about their usual day except there will be no big gatherings of people for any reason, no cinema, theatre etc.. Schools I think will need to be shut and some way of educating them at home found.
I can't see any other logical way forward. A vaccine will be produced in time of that there is no doubt.

Is it really that awful a disease? We are told the mortality rate is around 2%.
So IF you catch this bug, and let's face it everyone in China will be doing their level best to avoid that, you then have a 98 out of 100 chance of surviving (that is IF you catch it in the first place). Also they say 4 out of 5 people will get "normal" flu symptoms but no more.
So to put it another way IF you catch it and IF your are one of the 20 out of 100 people that get very ill then you still have an 18 out of 20 chance of surviving. Those odds look pretty good from where I'm sitting frankly.

Yes. This level of oil price ($57) is miles off what the Saudis want (was it $68?). It seems generally acccepted that a sensible price for Brent crude is around $65. Also if WTI oil does not soon improove from the current @ $51.50 many of the shale oil Co's in the USA will go bust. Even with WTI having been @ $60 ish recently many shale oil Co's in the USA have gone under.

I believe China will have to let these cities get on with normal life (Wuhan, Huanggang, Ezhou, Chibi, Qianjiang, Zhijiang; Jingmen, Xiantao, Xiaogan and Huangshi), but keep the people in the cities cut off from the rest of China. Obviously all in these cities will be extremely careful not to catch the virus. I'm sure they are quite frightened. No hand shakes, hugging, kissing etc... In the mean time the vaccine (which they say can definately be done) will be being fast tracked as much as possible. I imagine 6 months as it is incredibly important for China to do and they will throw as much money at it as it needs. Thousands of people will no doubt die unfortunatelty. I think this is the only thing they can do. If they keep the cities residents locked in their homes the economic cost will be terrrible. Also food/water problems will no doubt get worse and worse. There is light at the ned of the tunnel - the vaccine.

"Zama (Mexico): unitisation process progressed with the formal notice confirming a shared reservoir submitted to the regulators in December; sales process ongoing following successful appraisal campaign."
Was origunally to be sold in December so soon ine would have thought.

"Zama (Mexico): unitisation process progressed with the formal notice confirming a shared reservoir submitted to the regulators in December; sales process ongoing following successful appraisal campaign.".
This was originally going to get tied up in December but there was a lot of interest so they extended the deadlines I belive.

I'm sure the sale value of Zama will be announced as soon as it is signed.
As it was initially expected to be in December, but was extended due to interest from many other Companies, it seems to me it will be very soon as we are in 3rd week of January.

presumably will be whether RKH do a binding deal as per this statement in the RNS dated 7th Jan 2020:-
"Our arrangements with Navitas are at a detailed non-binding Heads of Terms stage and we look forward to working with them to put in place formal binding documentation in the coming months. In the intervening period, we are pleased that Premier has separately agreed funding arrangements for all of Rockhopper's costs on Sea Lion."
That announcement was 2 weeks ago of course. RKH don't seem to have a strong hand do they?
