It's only a matter of time before the USA and the rest of the World go the same way as South Africa and the UK. Only another variant that would need to be BOTH more infectious than the BA.2 one AND more serious could stop this IMHO. Though possible what are the chances? As we have all read antibodies can be deceived somewhat by new variants. But research shows the main armamant in human bodies, the "T" cells are not so easily fooled. They search out and kill human cells that have been taken over by a covid virus. Apparently they are the main weapon in us that prevents very serious illness.
IMHO the chances are good that there are no more serious covid problems for at least 8 months, and it is possile a lot lot longer. Even years. Every x years we get a bad flu outbreak in the World. Likely this is where we will be with covid IMHO. We live with flu like this, we will live with covid the same way.

With Brent @ $93 it seems to me, even considering the hedging, that the sp is way undevalued here. Also do not forget what $ is being offered now by the hedging Co's for oil?? $61 it was. Now? We must be looking at $70 -$75 surely for heding oil 2022/2034/2024???? Getting these sorts of levels protects the Companies future AND PROFITS. At those levels just aboutalll oil Co's are very profitable. Most oil Co's still make a profit with brent @ $40 don't forget, and many at levels as low as $30.

The most important thing is that if no other more dominant and more serious strain of covid appears all Countries wil be relaxing restrictions to get their economies going again. We know this. The market should know this???
I see the airline and travel Co's releasing RNS's to say increased bookings over the coming weeks. This is OBVIOUS.
In fact pent up demand and we could see RECORD BOOKINGS. Why not? I don't understand why the market is not looking at the facts (as in what happened on South Africa and the UK) and assuming same for USA and Eurpoe. Does not seem that risky.

Last I heard Omicron is milder than Delta. I have read if you get it and if you get severely ill (you know, mostly people who have not had even one dose) then you are one tenth as likely tio die of Omicron as opposed to Delta. People who have had 2 jabs and the booster are extremely unlikely to even get severely ill. Most won't even catch it. The whole thing about covid has completely changed. The market seems to be stuck in limbo.
The UK is now opened up. Almost no restrictions at all. The USA should follow along with Europe.
So what is going to happen to the travel industry?
1. No one is going to travel so all Companies to do with it will go bust.
2. They will see increasing trade and unless another Covid appears that is BOTH more infectious and more deadly things will recover even better than 2019 due to pent up demand.
Maybe I'm dim? Hope not.
It's a screaming buy I think.
