but I do see what is plastered all over the news. That is of course demand has come roaring back to the extent the planes are completely full and the airlines can't handle it. So quite why having TOO MANY CUSTOMERS is BAD is a complete mystery frankly. The penny will drop with the major investors in time of course. Could be any day. I mean how on earth can anyone with a single brain cell not see there is massive demand!

Seems to me barring another covid variant that is very nasty (highly unlikely I hear) then the travel industry, due to pent up demand is likely to have a very very good summer. Seems pretty obvious. OK there are high energy bills and general inflation here in the UK but most people will still be able to go on holiday abroad this year. I'm sure the travel industry will sail through this summer and winter just on pent up demand. I mean most people have not been on holiday for two years!

Ok I appologise. However you do seem to have posted a lot of negative views here lately. Hopefully Wizz air tomorrow will tell the world via their results that demand has gone through the roof (don't we know that already?) and there are staffing issues that are casing problems (we know that too I think!) satisfying the demand. Seems to me we already know this but maybe the bigger investors need it in black and white in the form of an RNS. Frankly why airline shares have not taken off (excuse the pun) yet is a mystery. Fuel costs maybe.......... but they will pass them on won't they.
Roll on IAG shares at £1.70 again. Could get there in just a few weeks like last time.

I have found the market on many occasions extremely slow to react to what is going on. Presumably the biggest players only get their information from RNS's with numbers confirmed in black and white. So be it. What we have here is a lot of negative news about peoples holidays being messed up by their plane flights being cancelled. I'm sure that is very annoying and I'm sure some compensation will be claimed. That aside though and what you have here is plane Companies that have planes rammed full of fare paying customers.
IMHO the market is focused on the bad press and not profit/loss.
The airlies will work their way through this problem period but IMHO they are raking it in NOW and will do even more once the problems are ironed out.
The sp here has got £1.70 written all over it to me as they is where the sp shot up to a few months back before Omicron ruined things!

We have covid, then market waits for the airlines to return.
Then they return and the HOPED FOR pent up demand causes issues, although loads of planes full up completely with fair paying passengers are in the air. So the market has airline shares down!

OK there are a lot of upset customers who's flights have not happened because of staff shortages.
BUT ALL THE PLANES THAT CAN FLY ARE FLYING AND ARE APPARENTLY FULL.
So why is the sp stuck @ £1.24p?
Before ayone says it the fuel costs must be, or will be, passed on to the PASSENGERS.
I've bought some more IAG 'cos this seems to be a crazy, crazy situation with the sp.
As far as I can see IAG and airline shares are a SCREAMING BUY!
Also cruise ship shares like Carnival (CCL).
