$1 billion. Unsecured note definition:-
"An unsecured note is a loan that is not secured by the issuer's assets. Unsecured notes are similar to debentures but offer a higher rate of return. ".
So they pay interest every 6 months and the loan cannot be demanded back until June 2025.
The sp has risen by 9.2% following this RNS so the market clearly likes it a lot.
I presume the Companies future is reasonably secure until at least June 2025. We are nealy in June 2022 so 3 years for everything to get back to somewhere near what it was before covid.
I hold at £16.30 (don't ask) and £10.89.
I'm going to need to be patient!
Seems to me as long as we don't have another nasty variant of covid, which seems unlikley Carnival will recover. The shares seem a steal at £9.69 as they were over £30 a few years ago.
All IMHO.
