I took the opportunity to ditch one tranche this Am @ £2.09 as I was holding too many of these. Bought those in July 2020 @ £1.26 so nice little earner. Might sell one more of my 4 remaining tranches if the sp goes North of £2.12. Then again I might not. LOL!

back from the blast off first thing this morning following the RNS. The high was £2.81 so at least I got in 15p a share lower than the peak. Seems to me the good news will push the sp higher over the coming days the day traders are presumably out. I expect the sp to push past the £2.81 tomorrow. With the war in Ukraine obviously the price of gas could take off again at any time.

if you ask me! I see the sp is actually up 1.5% so presumably the big players with logical brains have come to the conclusion that the airline industry is back big time. Anyone selling just because the airports can't take the strain of all the CUSTOMERS need their heads examined. As far as rthe increased fuel costs go I'm quite sure the sirlines have/are increasing the fares.

I find your negative attitude to this merger odd.
The board would not do this unless they were convinced it is for the better.
Do you have a position with Capricorn? Long or short?
I'm thinking the sp is likely to move up this week and anyone short will be closing out if they have not done already.
With Brent crude at $120.34c and this merger news it seems extremely likely the sp will move North from the current £2.0175.

Clearly I was wrong about the sp here as I still hold some at £13.00 or so.
The reason I did not sell, which was wrong was this:-
They maintained their dividend.
They paid a special dividend.
Various directors have bought shares in total value in excess of £345,000 in the last i think 3 months, all sub about £11 a share if memory serves. Have a look at the RNS's yourself.

My reasoning seemed good at the time only to see the sp fall.
I note very recently the sp has had some positive days and hopefully it has turned the corner. I note M&S results were better than I think was expected resulting in their pric moving up from around £1.40 to the current £1.51 and maybe this is why the shares here have had some positive days of late.

I don't see how it would be even credible for our board to agree a merger unless it is beneficial to the Company. It is also subject to a vote so in the highly unlikley event it is NOT good surely the vote wiould be against it!
The inevitable conclusion based on the above logic is that the merger is in Capricorn's interest and therefore the sp will rise next week.

with Tullow Oil at close of play the sp were as follows:-
Tullow Oil - down 2% (53.40p/53.5p).
Capricorn - up 1.2% (£201.60/£201.80).

So thus far the market feedback is........... what is the point? LOL!

deal for shareholders. It would make no sense for our board to merge us with Tullow unless it vastly improves the outlook.
With the price of oil @ $116.50 and this negotiated merger the future surely is looking very very good!

It beggars belief that the IAG share price is only slightly up when they have a major problem with TOO MANY CUSTOMERS. Just about any other business would say that would be a nice problem to have! Thank heavens we have not got a problem with too few customers.

can't keep up with the demand for flights, which is GOOD for the airlines and Rolls. No doubt more of the mothballed planes will be being preped for re-joining airline fleets and Rolls will be reaping the rewards.
