Any business that is turning away customers has got to be in a good position. You up your prices until enough people are put off by the price and you only turn a few away. This is kid's stuff. The staff that IMG employ no doubt are working long hours to help the situation out so that is good for all. On the down side maybe the amout of flights is far off what it was before covid, but then again IAG has no-where near the amount if staff it had before covid, so the wage bill will be massively lower. On the down side too I doubt that, with a much lower turnover the Company can make anywhere nead the money it did before covid. Having said that I do not see how it is even possible for IAG not to be making a profit at the moment, all be it at a lower level than pre-vovid. Things will only improve as more staff are slowly found, more planes are in the air and the profit level increases.
How the market can view the current situation in a bad light is totally baffling and IMHO completely and utterly wrong.
Once the market regains some logic I expect the so to ROCKET uo to £1.70 like it did the last time.
Look out for a trading update...........
All IMHO.
