So we have:-

1. MT-RNR1's in use in the NHS.

I have read that every baby moved to neonatal is given antibiotics as a precaution.

So once all the MT-RNR1 sites are up and running there will be 14 neonatal wards testing every baby that is admitted.

That will be a lot. A lot of consumables too.

Hospitals in Scotland. Extremely ill babies are moved to the more specialist ones. However, it is obvious that antibiotics would be used at the first sign of a problem. I have read that neonatal units ALWAYS put the babies on antibiotics. So they have 15 neonatal hospitals. I wonder if one machine for each is enough. I would have thought for the small initial cost of the machine (most profit is from consumables) they would buy at least 2 or 3. Also if it takes 1 hr per test what if 2 babies need antibiotics at the same time? 1 might have to wait 2 hours and that is too long. What if 1 machine develops a fault? Maybe 3 or 4 machines to be on the safe side?

Astrazeneca should pay Angle to carry out dual analysis during their next lung cancer drug trial using the Illumina lung cancer assay panel that Illumina and Angle Plc worked on to create. They need to get on with it. I think Astrazeneca will buy Angle Plc anyway.

So are Astrazeneca really financing a suitable cancer drug trial for this?!!!!!!!!

Result is finding about twice the number of cancer biomarkers. Biomarkers are used to target cancer with modern drugs. Unfortunately none of the big players in the undustry are moviong this forward in terms of financing a cancer drug trial that has "dual analysis" involved. All we have so far is Illumina giving dual analysis the "green light" as in they see it works. We live in hope. Meanwhile some poeple who might get targeted cancer treatment due to dual analysis don't and no doubt a lot of them die as a result. Pretty sick situation. The likes of Astrazeneca should be pushing this forward.

That timescale is rubbish. They will be putting the application in as soon as they have sufficient data for the actual real use of the machine in a ward. That will be very soon as thay have had 9 sites up and running for many months and that may be 14 by now. Any day I would have thought.

Also when you do an FDA application obviously they request information/data as the application is processed. So even if they have not got sufficient now, by the time the FDA come back in say 6 weeks I think they will. They must be extremely eager to submit. If they are not then we need new Directors who have a clue what they are doing. FDA clearance for the MT-RNR1 is key. Nothing is more important IMHO.

I believe the only thing stopping the application was actual in hospital use data. NHS data is eligable. They surely must be close to having enough data. This will be the bext huge news INHO.

Then it might be as little as 3 months until FDA approval. If they can RNS the application is in the sp should go 2.5 to 3p. Data has been being accumulated at the 9 sites for months. Data that is needed for the USA FDA application.

Can't argue with that as things stand.

I find it totally astonishing they have not, so far, got follow on orders from Astrazeneca for either of the two assays. Just one would probably double the sp, well nearly. Also not another order to develop another one even! Then I am gobsmacked and in total shock that so far the Illumina / Angle "dual analysis" lung cancer assay side seems to have no follow on news either, so far. Potentially this is HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF POUNDS. As for the sales staff I dare not comment. Every time some very good news appears it seems to come to a halt. I mean what in the world is going on? We live in hope!
