Other than the priorities I mentioned earlier a cancer drug trial testing a "cluster buster" drug seems quite possible. It is surprising so few trials are done IMHO. One would have thought Angle would be the perfect choice to do the various measurements needed to see what effect any "cluster buster" drug has on the clusters. A good one could see cancer spread slowed down or dare I say stopped.

In fact some surely will need more. 14 sites in England, 15 in Scotland, so 29 sites. So what about Wales and NI?

Ones that can't be undermined by advances in CtDna analysis. The hundreds of millions thrown at analysing CtDna to the last molecule have resulted in some advances. BUT no protein to analyse and no RNA either. You can't analyse something that is not there, fortunately. Unfortunately, you can analyse other things affected by a cancer and that is happening too. It's obvious to me at least that Angle need to concentrate on the following:-

1. Contracts to produce assays to analyse circulating tumour cells (CTC's) for whatever the client wants. Most likely to look at proteins and RNA. They have produced two assays for Astrazeneca. There should be more and from other Companies. Obviously, it would be game on if any are then used in cancer drug trials.

2. Selling the Parsortix machine. By all accounts it does the job well. Angle could half the price for example to gain more market share. After all you need to buy a cassette every time you run an analysis so there is regular profit there.

3. Advancing dual analysis. This would be number 1 if it would produce substantial income earlier. Note this cannot be undermined by advances in CtDna as it uses CtDna!

4. HER2. Sales don't need to spend much time on this. Just give the prospective client the data and see what they say. It's not rocket science. If they want to use it in a trial they will place an order. Why does Newland make it sound so difficult? If they say no, then give up and wait for the next enquiry.

5. PD-L1 same.

6. DDR same.

Angle's Parsortix machine offers the opportunity to do DNA analysis of circulating tumour cells (CTC's) on the same tube of blood as CtDna. Named "dual analysis" by Angle Plc. Result is finding about twice the number of cancer biomarkers. Biomarkers are used to target cancer with modern drugs. Roche looking, Illumina already involved. Have helped Angle Plc produce the first lung cancer assay panel for dual analysis.

Meanwhile Astrazeneca seem oblivious to all this. LOL! Even though dual analysis could make them hundreds of millions. Don't worry though. Once Roche or Illumina buy this tech Astrazeneca can pay them for the analysis. LOL!

The upshot is the amount of clusters and how many cells form the clusters needs to be measured when taking x drug. Why oh why is this so difficult?

1. Need participants that have cancer and have circulating tumour cells (CTC's).

- Need to test potential participants to find candidates with CTC's and clusters of CTC's.

2. You need your "cluster buster" trial drug.

3. Measure the amount of CTC's and clusters before taking the drug.

4. Same after x amount of time.

It's not even very risky if the drug in question is already approved for other things. Asprin for example. Already known to slightly reduce clusters. look it up. What are the multi billion $ Plc's doing................... next to nothing IMHO. Waiting for somone else to risk money in research.

Use a lab test as opposed to a quick cheap convenient bedside test? Doctors/nurses will do the obvious thing, use the Genedrive machine.

Lab test.

More dangerous than a cheek swap sample needs a BLOOD DRAW (labour and materials cost too).

Unless the lab is "in house" the blood sample needs to be packaged up (labour and materials cost).

Courier arranged and paid for (labour and materials cost).

Takes up to about a week to get the result.

Far more expensive.

No packaging for courier or couriers cost.

Result in about an hour.

A lot cheaper and safer, no comparison.

One machine per hospital? What if it's a larger hospital and 2 or 3 babies that need neonatal care arrive within an hour? I think the profit would be in the consumables rather than the initial one off payment. So two or 3 machines seems sensible for the larger hospitals so they have cover. Also what if one goes wrong? Maybe that will be addressed in the "implementation guide". What's the betting that's not covered though? Important point. Will be interesting to see if it ever gets published................................................ yawn.
