Aqua,
Let me clarify my view related to your quoted opinion; "I do find elric/elrico's pessimistic view of the sweetbiotix launch taking place as opposed to skinbiotix a little difficult to reconcile."
First of all, my pessimism is not aimed at OPTI/SweetBiotix product launch, but a reminder of what some commentators were leading investors to believe was inevitable before Christmas 2021. Namely, not one, but two commercial agreements could be announced, one at least. Remind me what was announced and when? Moreover, I have previously been very keen on SweetBiotix prospects as far back as the Summer of 2017; indeed, the SP rallied to 130p on the back of TW, promoting my second in-depth interview with SOH. The rest, as they say, is history.
In short, expectations for the successful launch of SweetBiotix were set by investors, which was my point. I accept I should have been clearer, but I assumed readers were well-versed in my opinion of the topic.
Croda has always been a three-year project and thus far remains on track. However, I accept there is some confusion on the timing of revenues from the deal, which is unfortunate, but outside SBTX's control.
I don't think it is helpful comparing SBTX with OPTI. They are different entities with different ambitions. IMHO, Croda looks likely to be ahead in terms of generating recurring revenues several years ahead of SweetBiotix's potential partners. However, we need to realise the exhaustive testing required for SweetBiotix; the same is not required for the lysate for various reasons.
I hope this clarifies my POV.
