Mol,
Ref the link to the Substack chat. It is open source for people that have downloaded the app. Second, my readers are prioritised.
You imply; the Company has written off c250k of stock. Where is the evidence for this? IMHO, I expect the stock approaching BB will be sold via offers we are seeing in national papers and other promotions; OPTI does this every few months for its online portfolio because it nearly always overstocks. Don't confuse this statement with criticism of OPTI; it's part of growing a brand. Companies tend to overstock rather than not have the ability to grow.
You request, "Please try not to continue to link resolution 6 to the potential acquisition."
I am not; I am taking my cue from the RNS, which buried the acquisition as a mere footnote, and more importantly, the Q&A I had with Stuart.
You also request, "please also stop trying to suggest that the potential acquisition will transform SBTX overnight."
You are not the first person to misquote me. I do not believe I said the acquisition would transform SBTX overnight. However, I believe it will transform SBTX, and for the record, this will happen overnight...there you go! Why? *Because I believe the target Company is profitable. Also, any acquisition would need to be accretive to SBTX. Think about those two comments for a while, please. Then, on these...
- SBTX will overnight become a Company that has acquired a dozen or so products it can back its IP into and double its product portfolio.
- Has established routes in national pharmacies and the NHS.
- Establish synergies between the two
- Revenues will remove all conspiracies of light-out placing
- SBTX becomes either BE or, more likely, profitable - on current spending
- An established marketing team which appears to be good at what it does
- Expand the acquired portfolio beyond the UK shores
Mol, assuming the quick points above are correct, how would you describe the enlarged group?
I am prepared to be wrong, but I have spent many hours pouring over Companies house, the target product portfolio, the location, etc., with the clues we have, and therefore reasonably confident I have narrowed the target down to a couple of Companies. The danger is to speculate beyond what I have already, so I have kept this to a minimum for our sanity and reduced the number of eggs directed my way, especially if there is an egg shortage; we don't want to waste them on me. :)
*There are assumptions I have successfully identified the target and that the accounts are accurate.
In addition, acquisitions have a habit of falling at the final hurdle because someone seeks to push the envelope too far. So, there is a danger it does not complete.
