Well folks the MMs are having a real laugh here. No shorters on COP and buys greater than sells again. When this pops, and it will, there will be some lucky people buying in at 4p

Today's late Gulfsands RNS officially takes this permit away from them. Hence their late price price drop. Opportunity now knocks

And on more buys than sells at the moment. It's the sector which MMs are having a go at not COP

A very conservative recommendation to Buy at 11.5p from Peel Hunt issued on 26/11/2015. Just found it. We now have 3 recent published buys, Peel, Investec and Macquarie, at average of 17.7p with a Neutral from Davy.

Good question Robbie It would good to get a straight answer. I would love to believe Stockdale but .......

If the board are talking to a select few interested parties re Madhia, do they include your investors because if not, and farm out terms are positive, they will have to pay a hell of a lot more for COP than now.

Same old repeated negativity Stockbuyer. Only last week however you inferred that some Middle Eastern investors looking to buy the company ?

Agreed but this cannot continue. i don't believe the scare stories if $25 oil. We will see oil increase next yr when shares in oil companies including COP will also recover.

Well they couldnt farm our earlier in the year whist pending the permit extension which has now been granted for another 3 years. But I agree with the Dragon Oil theory, in fact I always thought that they may a company that could potentially buy out COP in total

All indications are that a select few majors are looking at Mahdia and have been for a while. Patience from the board and investors here with the hope that oil prices will rise.

I don't know Doc but suspect that they have terms in mind re percentage to farm out and amount they think that it's worth. Maybe worth waiting until oil price goes back higher

I also asked the CEO re Gulfsands and the permit now available in Morocco. He confirmed that the company are still "focused on growth through acquisitions" but has no comment on specifics and are "looking at a couple of targets" Doesnt sound like a company running out of money. Re Mahdia he remains upbeat re farm out but in this low oil price period " doesnt want to accept a price too low"

Good research Robbie. Aberdeen didnt just buy 3% overnight. I commented on this board earlier in the year that I suspected someone was building a stake with extraordinary double purchases each day. They have been buying at much higher prices than now so are here for the longer term

I have received an update from Mitch Flegg following my e. mail to him yesterday. Mitch confirms that Aberdeen Holdings are an Omani based Group and he is pleased with their additional shareholding and believes that it reflects the boards efforts in "getting our message across" The recent share slide does not reflect anything changing within COP and Mitch believes that it maybe as a result of continued fall in oil price and " a little negative sentiment regarding broader political issues" He also says that the board have made a big effort over the last few months to talk to all significant shareholders to make sure that "they understand the story" ( I would again point out that no major shareholders have sold shares this year) No production update due until; early new year although there will be a Competent Persons Report on reserves at year end they will update to market following that. As far as director purchases, although Mitch cannot speak on behalf of other board members he will follow up his earlier share purchase with "appropriate investments as personal finances allow"

I telephoned the Omani number on the RNS today. No reply ? How strange. E mailed Mitch Flegg this evening for some clarification but didn't mention that Stockbuyer and chums are buying out the co. !

Well Stockbuyer I am as confused as ever. If you and your co investors want to buy COP then help yourselves. In the meantime I will continue to concentrate on my efforts to establish any other facts that will be of interest to this forum
