I've never really been convinced that Racecourse has got 2mt but I do believe it is a significant and valuable resource. I get that we want to understand Ascot and that requires more drilling but there was something about the interview that didn't seem quite right. I wonder if it was checked for any editing errors before it was released.

My instinct about an issue with the licences was correct as was my instinct that that issue would impact any potential deal with AA. In addition the fact that the legal issues were having an impact on last year's drilling also turned out to be correct. I would say my instincts have been pretty good here. I sold most of my initial holding when I realised that the licence issue and director surrender of shares added up to something not being "on track" .
I haven't always been right ( more than happy to admit that) but my instincts here have generally led to me making sound decisions.
I do agree that there is potential for significant upside here if the deal is signed and AA find a significant deposit. The 'in ground' value of 22% of a tier 1 deposit should provide a significant boost to the share price. I think getting rid of the CASA liabilities would make the DD easier but that is just my opinion.

I assume AA DD for any JV with with ARC would involve not just DD on the assets in Zambia but also DD on the company itself.
Presumably there would be some protection built into the JV agreement but I would guess they would also want to be happy with any company they were entering into a JV with.

I would guess AA DD will be easier if Casa is no longer on the books.

I wonder if they will extend hole 39?

Some time ago I suggested that we may just get an exploration target declared for Ascot. There was some discussion on this board about that possibility. CB had obviously been reading the discussion as he discussed the confidence level of a resource at Ascot in his next interview. I believe he stated Ascot would have an inferred resource. I realise some of the detail from interviews require a pinch or two of salt but this appeared to be a specific response to the discussion that had taken place.

Still a way to go to a get to the SP where the BOD surrendered their share options last March. NVS exercised some options from JAN at around the same time. I wonder what they spent their windfall on?

I also read the Evrima release this morning and took their rationale as being very positive for MFC. Reading it did make me wonder if something had been seen in the KSZ data that made MFC more compelling for KAV (and subsequently POW). I did wonder if the delay in the data release for KSZ could be positive in this regard. This is AIM and generally no news is not good news but I did wonder. Any thoughts on if there is likely to be any read across between the projects? I do think KAV have enough on their plate but I also think MFC looks interesting.
