Hi all, looks like US inflation is up again. Do we think there is potential for a rate increase? I’m thinking 25 per cent chance, 75 chance they hold. If they increase it will put more pressure on the economy though which is already fragile. If they do increase, gold will drop over short term but will go much higher medium to long term. Any thoughts?

I do find it very odd Hainan released their resource upgrade though if their intent was to buyout. I still think it is but surely they should have kept that to themselves. Unless they need it internally to get sign off, if they intended to buyout.

Yep as I’ve said the figs don’t lie. We don’t know the AISC yet. Even if it does go up significantly, even to $1kpt, which I think is pessimistic, that’s £30m of profit to kod. Just for ONE year! With a mine life over 10 years, you can see how undervalued kod is. Anyone who says it is overvalued is simply a sad troll who needs to be green binned.

Any views on buybacks? Surely would make sense if there are realisations over the next few months to use a large percentage of these to do share buy backs and boost the SP, getting the board closer to their next level of free shares? Obv need enough cash for operations and to invest in SVV but makes sense no?

I’ve said I’m a bit disgruntled about the latest news on Nielle and generally feel a bit let down on timelines eg resource upgrade which has taken forever and way passed original timelines that we were given. I also said as a lth with a substantial holding I’d prefer a chunky premium to be taken out by Hainan. Each to their own but I’d like to see a decent profit then invest elsewhere.
