It’s a long article but read page 139. Expects to average spod at $2,200 per tonne in 2025. I would be very chuffed with that, anything over $2k means v good profits. As always Dyor.

Agreed Lav, lots of positive news to come too this year.

My view is that long term prices for spod can’t be much less than $1,000 per tonne. Kod is ok at this price as are other low cost producers but a number of producers won’t sell at much less than this. Why would they accept a loss? So therefore they will hold stock. Long term it has to be $1,000 per tonne at the very least. Remember producers can refuse to sell their lithium if they don’t agree with the price.
There are also the big goldfields we have, so therefore diversifying risk. I’d love to get an updated MRE, previous one was 350k oz for only Fatou is £558m revenue at current prices (mre was back in nov 2014 via rockridge). Plus kod is fully funded with ZERO debt which is massive for an explorer. I’m looking forward to the next few years 👍

Kod is towards lower end of cost curve. Re the article on finding a potential new material we will see. No doubt it will take many years to get into mainstream plus said energy storage is an issue so still v early days.
Morning all, here is latest forecast from morning star, showing bit of an uptick on price. Who knows though, think it’s incredibly hard to accurately forecast what will happen…

Interesting, another article, some are saying demand is struggling and others saying the opposite.

I think the only recent ii buy was a few weeks ago when there was a big buy at 0.46 think was £350k or something. I think license transfer may hold the bigger ones back, expecting if we can upgrade to 50 mt and get maiden value on gold more will be keen to come on board the kodal train
No worries 0007 Brad and Lav 👍

Also shows 4 ASX miners making a loss at current prices as they’re high cost, not sustainable clearly. Luckily kod is making a decent profit at these levels.

Really interesting analysis time will tell 👍

Re core lithium, stockpiling
That would be a dream! Hope so.
Found the below Sep 22 RNS which is where I’ve got these from…
Incorporating the above key cost input parameters into the operating cost model prepared for the DMSU highlights a C1 (Brook Hunt) operating cost excluding product selling costs of US$436 per tonne of concentrate produced, with an additional US$125/t for selling costs which includes inland transport to the port.
Hi Lav, I’ve got similar, I have $436 c1 cost and $125 selling and transportation making $561, from a previous RNS somewhere…regardless a decent amount of profit even at today’s price so all good 👍
Yep for sure, Bernie is a clever cookie. Plus big plus is we know the quality of the spod is decent. I’ve been reading articles saying some lithium (doesn’t say carbonate or spod) is having to be returned as it’s rubbish quality…naughty naughty!
General consensus is it needs to be at $1.2kpt as a min from watching a lot of videos and reading up. Think our c1 costs are $680 pt? If so leaves a nice tidy profit 😉

Can’t see the whole piece but you get the idea…lithium futures still showing support for an uptrend.
