Yep for sure, Bernie is a clever cookie. Plus big plus is we know the quality of the spod is decent. I’ve been reading articles saying some lithium (doesn’t say carbonate or spod) is having to be returned as it’s rubbish quality…naughty naughty!
General consensus is it needs to be at $1.2kpt as a min from watching a lot of videos and reading up. Think our c1 costs are $680 pt? If so leaves a nice tidy profit 😉

Can’t see the whole piece but you get the idea…lithium futures still showing support for an uptrend.
Happy New Year Lav, totally agree, kod being a low cost producer is of massive importance in the market as it stands. ASX miners are starting to stockpile, refusing to sell at these prices. Whilst I am disappointed in the share price (topped up with funding news landing, no regrets though as I was happy in my decision at that time), I have no doubt kod will come good eventually. Happy to hold long. Bring on further drilling and also let’s not forget the gold, hope to have an established MRE at some point 👍
True but then if he was at school he’d call himself Lamboman 😂
Watched a vid last night saying price really needs to hold at around $1200 spod pt as a min for most projects to be viable. I’ll see if I can find it again and post.

We will see more solid state batteries being tried and tested, good to see some decent results from someone big like VW

Generally use more lithium vs lithium ion too
I’m not sure…I’m not an expert on this though but good to have a sensible debate on it for sure.

We’ve probably seen this over the past couple of days. Absolutely flying sales and BYD have even been advertising on TV in the UK. As we know Musk won’t take this lying down he wants to be number 1. And releasing a cheaper car too c£22k apparently for a NEW car! Still using lithium ion too. Demand will continue to rise for electric cars and lithium. There are significant question marks about supply levels of lithium, some saying the quality being delivered is inferior and being sent back which reduces supply.
Threat for me is sodium ion batteries but at this stage of tech their energy density is lower (reduced range) and weight higher vs lithium so will only be viable in some entry level EVs and other electric heavy machinery. If Tesla can make their new car work at £22k using lithium, there is no point them
Using sodium ion.
Hydrogen cars prob the future but 10 plus years away from being mainstream imo.
Don’t led the media narrative scare you. Look at the long term picture. Do you own research and you should find kod to be significantly undervalued, therefore strong buy for me.
Also let’s take a step back. Kodal has £45.3m in the bank ie 49 per cent of $117m. Current market cap is £69m. Even if the sold lithium price is $1kpt then profit for DMS is estimated at £50m and for floatation plant £411m. That’s exc any gold and based on the latest drilling results which should expand further. So look at the long term picture here.

I’ve checked another source and it’s 2.6 per cent down. Something doesn’t seem right with the 18 per cent…

Remember kod is low cost AND high quality. At these prices we’re in profit at lot of others make a loss.

V interesting read
Already 2 ASX miners are refusing to sell at current prices. This will happen more and more especially with high cost miners. Kod won’t be producing until Dec anyway when price forecast is higher than now

Some interesting analysis 👍
Just checked ASX top risers in 2023. For those doubters re lithium and gold look at wildcat resources wc8 wow! It can happen…not saying it will for kod but you never know…
Well said 100notout. I am looking forward to the future. Yes the share price is frustratingly low as was expecting it to be way higher especially considering we are now fully funded with extra £ to expand resources but hey ho looking positively I am continuing to top up at these levels when I can, I have zero doubt that in a few years the share price will be a lot higher than today. Who knows by then Hainan may even decide to buy us out at a premium. Have a good 2024 all kodal investors 👍👍
