Two very different statements, but I know you love to spend your time endlessly criticising posters and their messages.

Monday’s purposed peace talks will include representatives from US, Germany, France, UK in addition to Ukraine and Russia.

It’s the first time since the outbreak of the war that all these nations have sat at the table together, surely that has to be a step forward.

Hopefully those present can reach some form of agreement and progression.

At least one of, or better still both attend.

Trump seems to believe something positive could materialise from talks in the next three days. That said Trump’s opinion can change like the wind.

A few media outlets reporting that both Trump and Putin could be planning to meet in the very near future.

Additionally US are suggesting that Russia could resume gas supplies to Euro nations. The mechanics of that resumption to be agreed, could involve US investors.

Ever considered that Trump has made that comment in order to pressure Putin to stop such attacks.

Trump plays and applies pressure to both sides.

He wants to see Putin prove he wants peace, stopping such attacks is just one element of that process.

Putin now saying he will sit down with Ukraine unconditionally to discuss settlement.

Both sides will play their cards strategically.
