I would venture a guess - that the reason ODX have received a nominal 1 mil government order for their pretty useless antibody test is to run it in parallel with Avacta style tests on the same patients to compare reliability and matching results

Yes it’s an interesting theory - maybe a month or more back I had a post removed too, there was a discussion about pricing and concern about how poor people would pay for regular Avacta style antigen tests - I simply stated the obvious that there would be no need for any concern because the government would simply fund the entire program - example £100 Billion was a drop in the ocean compared to the costs so far and in the future if the economy could not be properly reopened - to my astonishment this post and entire string was then removed

Should have also added that the price to do this is an absolute drop in the ocean compared to the cost of continuing as we are - when the Avacta test is confirmed and available in mass they will have no choice but to give the order

If the government are serious about clearing COVID from the uk they will simply have to fund and provide Antigen Home self tests for everyone - people will not pay for tests they feel they don’t need and want, this is the uk here many have zero respect for covid and the government

There are no 2 ways about it, they will fund the whole exercise to screen the entire population pinpointing and isolating where applicable or the uk will have to live with the current covid Situation for the next 2 to 5 years minimum

Very vague - but have just been advised new testing regulations will be brought in / advised next week - afraid no further detail and would surmise that the senior figure delivering this message little else either

Good BAMS Results should Really push it - then just need CE mark and confirmation of real time orders for the test from Uk government and medusa-19 which are already substantial - then we will absolutely fly

Avacta does have a 5 minute Antigen saliva test that is now poised to go into mass production in the uk - but the Brh Paraytec Test is the only other useful competition as it stands (ODX test already obsolete) so hopefully they will fast track things as soon as possible and if successful well we can certainly Expect tickets to the moon and also say goodbye to BRH’s already insultingly low mkt cap of 7mil on this small part of Brh portfolio alone
