Yes that’s right Bella we initially ordered 1000 and were told to expect after the 15th July, but told last week any follow orders will be at least the end of August early September earliest

In view of the innova scandal and the pressure now been applied by various bodies IMO orient gene despite it short comings will only be adopted as stop gap to allow affiDX to be brought up to speed and duly adopted as the Uk sovereign test most likely as Affimer reagent sale only by year end.

I speak as a conservative and pretty sure even red wall switchers now realise this corrupt incompetent delusional right wing government cannot be trusted upon to make any correct decisions for the greater good, and the pressure to adopt a Uk designed manufactured 100% accurate test to passport peoples out of isolation will in the end be unbearable, and possibly coincide with the end of this government (thankfully) and then many of us can perhaps look forward to being in opposition again !

Saying that the probability of the Uk government making the switch and granting EUA, or at least desperately wanting (and not able to get) the most accurate LFT in the world - 100% for all intents and purposes is still very high once avacta can get the numbers for self testing which should now be available due to the massive spike

Having already invested £20 million on LFT manufacturing kit which is standing idle Medusa has always been the key - and their actions only a few months back trialing the avacta LFT suggest they are gearing up for some heavy duty action

I remember looking at the orient Gene LFT last week and it’s clearly Inferior to avacta

Bioserve tried hard to sell me it while I was ordering avacta tests last week making out it was better when it’s clearly not, should add they were really keen to offer big discounts for huge quantities (but not on avacta) so obviously a lot in stock, or decent bungs available

Can’t understand the flap - covid and the need for mass testing will be around for at least the next 5 to 10 years - javid made it clear that testing will be the new way forward so economies businesses schools airlines hospitals nursing homes are all going to need the most accurate and comfortable to use rapid self tests

I’ve always felt that all the RNS communication about the AffiDX (last 6 months) has been very deliberately worded to be specifically targeted at a certain reader, and this potential buyer has already set up and got production facilities to make millions of these tests per day standing idle, and if they don’t bite - well there’s only the rest of the world to go at !

To those holding on and still believing. Appreciate it’s painful, I’m in the same boat, I can’t advise to hold sell or top up but it will come good very shortly ;-)

All I can say to that MC is our order is in and 1st batch due to be delivered after 15th July - calibre we’re not able to answer my question about other orders :-)

In the long term it simply wouldn’t matter even if they only sold a nominal amount of the Covid LFT to the world

The affiDX brand is now established, medical world aware and by producing the best LFT test in the world conclusively proven affimers work better and much cheaper / faster to produce than traditional anti bodies - which bodes very well with the new AffiDX tests they will unveil shortly for vitamin D and Cortisol - this in itself is another huge and permanent market to easily exploit

Crazy we are still stuck in this situation when China conclusively proved and advised the world mass testing was the only way out of this, and rightfully so as they had tested and effectively cleared covid returning to a total normal last Summer

Their vaccination program duly started January 2021 when they still had zero covid with their economy fully open. Their vaccination and testing program is now equivalent to our own with approx 3/4 of the population vaccinated and they still have virtual zero covid, and no restrictions, where as ‘the brilliantly run Uk’ is suffering a 70% weekly increase in infections with little hope of returning to normal anytime soon

So if vaccinations control the spread of Covid why are they doing so in China - yet not in the Uk ?

A = Because they simply do not !

Testing is still the best single solution test test test - isolate the infectious, then reopen and live normal lives

Very worrying 80% rise in new cases last 7 days (11481 to 20223) with comparable weekly average increase in the daily death rates up to 18

This very comparable to July 2020 (and the complacency) apart in 2020 we were only reporting 700 ish new cases per day, with a current R rate ranging from 1.2 to 1.4 previously stated as unacceptable

So factoring in the general complacency now set in much due to our hypocritical incompetent corrupt government, football fever, school holidays with asymptotic kids running wild and example an up and coming 60000 at Wembley tested by innova following on from the 40000 yesterday

It would be ridiculous to assume that the 80% spike in the last 7 days wouldn’t at least continue at a rate of 50% to 80% weekly up to the start of the November flue / illness season, presuming the current 1.2 to 1.4 R Rate doesn’t decrease

So a probable 18 weeks @50% = 900% to @80% = 1440% increases = xxxxxx cases ? = xxxx deaths ? This presuming freedom day July 19th where masks, social distance, quarantine bubbles are no longer mandatory, and the intended football stadiums concerts large gatherings open again - isn’t going to happen ?

Anyone still think Vaccines are still the only answer - in the Uk alone - rather than mass accurate testing in parallel ?

Ive always needed to see before totally believing, so when two friends that I knew personally confirmed they had covid twice last year. I then became totally convinced the ODX anti body test was quite useless

And news that my pal has just tested positive for covid with quite bad symptoms this morning, after having both astra jabs, is unfortunately good enough for me to totally believe testing is and was always only the only way out of this

Awful few days for genuine holders, can only share the pain and empathise, my frustration has always been 80% external, but at times it has to be said AS shows either utter nativity, or contempt to shareholders, but all things said it’s difficult to understand the current share price based on yesterday’s news, so I like many others have not sold an ounce of stock

Here is the reality - the worlds (probably) best LFT test is now ready, on the market and in production at GAD - the world badly needs it

The stated expected LFT profit is £2 or €2 per test to avacta, so going by basic calcs a minimum 30 million per month from the efforts of Caliber and Medusa once up to speed for at least 4 years is €2880 bil net profit to avacta

If they sell into the Eu and rest of world as planned, and as expected covid goes on much longer than 4 years, let alone new pandemics - well that’s potentially 3 to 20 times that, on top of the £500 mil plus of incomes from partnerships already established

Plus the very high probability the UK Government will still become Avacta biggest customer in less than 2 months when the temporarily extended Innova EUA contract ends, plus potential income from other products like AVA6000

Both their website and my own conversations with them make it clear they desperately want the avacta test to sell now, and would duly take 100 million now if they could. If Medusa had shareholders they would be providing an RNS to explain why they couldn’t get the stock they were promised and have orders for.

If avacta knew they did not have much bigger fish to fry in the Uk or duty bound to the same, they would most definitely be letting Medusa have all the tests they could supply, what ODX say has little relevance, they are just another manufacturer who’s only interest Is the tiny margins they will make from this

Sometimes understandably it’s difficult to see the wood for the trees ;-)

As well as re-writing science - what a difference a week makes it’s bouncing here ! my obvious enthusiasm could well be lost this time around

It’s been a journey but it seems we are now about to arrive. I’m my opinion (putting our incompetent government aside) AS will prove to have played an absolute blinder to those who held on keeping the faith and topping up based on his absolute certainty the LFT would be best in class

Even to a non scientist it was patently obvious that testing was the only way before the UK even locked down last year, you cannot provide permanent immunity against flue and the common cold which is what Covid is and will eventually displace

What we also had this time last year was at least a dozen rival companies developing tests all (diverting attentions) which have now proved to be sub standard, pointless, or obsolete and once the vaccines became available we were always going to be ignored for at least 6 months while the initial hype and belief was eventually quashed with a dose of reality.

But as a result of our clueless PM’s constant messing and back tracking, he’s unwittingly bought Avacta the time space and ability to create the biggest entry window possible with both pressure, frustration and desperation ready to fuel demand from all the mass production facilities now set up ready providing one of the biggest open goals in History for Avacta

I would suspect Spain will be the first country to place orders, but whichever country it is will really not matter as the resulted humiliation and pressure to the Uk government will be so intense they will simply be compelled to buy the avacta test at whatever cost - this could well be what AS was planning all along

Either way these pioneer tests will become future rudimentary essentials at customs airlines cruises nursing homes hospitals, and wherever surges reappear groups and large gatherings will all test. Eventually these tests will become available to diagnose many other issues, so don’t be surprised if your toothbrush eventually does this for you while your sewage meter powered by avacta affirmers performs daily checks on you too.
