I cant understand what all the fuss is about and the accusations of ramping. It is a fact that Medusa 19 (owned by boohoo founders) signed a non exclusive distribution partnership with Avacta last year and have since invested over £20 million alone in LFT manufacturing kit and capacity, which has been standing idle (same can be said for several other outlets including ODX and ABDX)

If anyone doubts the words Robbo, Ophidian, Myles Mcnulty speak, which I myself are also acutely aware, do ask yourself the simply question – Why ?

And perhaps you might come to the conclusion, that all the evidence clearly indicates mass testing for Covid-19 is not going away anytime soon, the UK Government is clearly about to announce new suppliers to replace the Inferior Innova and Orient Gene LFT’s, and low and behold what could possibly be in this for Medusa-19 ?

Hmmm – the brain tickler, well here’s a few hints – firstly they have an interest in Avacta and secondly well they are the most capable heavy weight retailers / suppliers in the UK, possibly the top 10 in the world, so whether you like them or not, their selfish interest to profit from Avacta, and Covid-19 is clear, and that is exactly what they will be doing shortly, otherwise why go to the lengths and investments they have made so far ?

I should add my source is still communicating with the DHSC, so I will post any useful information as soon as it arrives in my hands

Yes this is correct - PCR is the not the Gold Standard solution to keeping nations out of lockdowns

The need for covid-19 testing will be here for a long long time - possibly for ever.

Market ought to take note even minnows like BRH have just raised £2.5 mil to develop their own covid-19 test which won’t be ready (even if working and practical) until at least early next year, never mind any sales, so they also see a long term market for what will be a collosal new multi 100’s billions testing industry

Whether or whether not their test will ever work (whether the weather ;-) they see what is a colossal (very chancy according to current market) investment on their part - well worth the risk

I thought I should at least provide an update of efforts so far

I’m afraid after a month of numerous communications my source has been unable to get any kind of answer from the office, this being either Yes or No as to whether they are going to continue buying sub standard Chinese Tests, or adopt the British Gold Standard tests now available – namely Avacta Affidx, though it should be noted a detailed response was initially promised, and is still being absolutely promised, which could very likely be old news when so

As we know selling the most accurate LFT in the world to the DHSC is no longer an Avacta target, but it wouldn’t do any harm to at least turn the DHSC down

It seems Myles is also unable to provide an update from his meeting with avacta last week, but continues to buy and promote, so the genuine holders / believers here might choose to put 2 + 2 together and get 4, the paid derampers may choose any other figure, either way it seems the game for AffiDX is still very much in play until further notice

And with this in mind I can assure I will update the market as soon as I have any useful information regarding this

Jupiter are simply basing their short on short term
future in-sight - can only presume they think covid is over and or avacta won’t sell any appreciable quantity of tests driving the sp further perhaps to £1

They know nothing further than any of us and I personally feel that whoever from Jupiter placed that short is naive feckless and deluded.

I’m hoping to announce some official feedback directly from Mr Javid next week, but don’t be surprised if it’s already public knowledge by this time !

Jesus they are expensive Trek £12.30 per per test ! even if buying bulk for inferior spec, compared to just £7.00 per test for avacta equivalent numbers -

We will give them a miss unless they can substantially sharpen their pencil !

Not sure wiggly - the dramatic fall has all the hallmarks of either a serious bad news leak the majority don’t know of, or a placing rumour, both of which can be dismissed as non runners. There is a small short which could potentially be undermining confidence but apart that the only other explanation is simply retail investors getting spooked into panic selling much to do with freedom day (many deluded believe covid now over and done) and ambiguous government statements don’t help - but they have made it very clear they will continue testing and if there were 33000 positive cases today at least 33000 were tested and when we get to August this figure will be in excess of 100000 - whether avacta is part of this or not is irrelevant

The only thing we know for sure is we have the best test in the world it’s getting produced by mologic and getting sold, not sure what ABDX and ODX plan, but sales from calibre alone will snow ball out of control as winter approaches, what Medusa will contribute to this is unknown but they certainly not interested in making £millions - just £billions and plenty opportunities to that over next 2 to 5 years in Uk Alone

I’m not leveraged either but badly feel for any that are - hence reason I never recommend anyone buys stocks, at the moment it’s a case of hold if you still believe, or sell if you believe boris and his Merry men !

Looks like the mms have either accumulated 2 million cheap shares for potential big rns tomorrow or there’s a big 2 million sell lurking that’s been dragging sp down last few days according to final day figures
